Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Goku's Heavyweight Clothes Technique

Year 746, April 10

The sun rose early over the mountains, casting a golden glow over the forest where Goku and Grandpa Gohan lived. Goku was already awake, standing on a rock with his arms crossed, deep in thought. Today was the day he was going to take his training to the next level. He'd been trying for weeks to create his Weighted Training Clothes Technique, but so far, he hadn't made much progress.

"I need to figure out how to control my energy better," Goku muttered to himself. "Grandpa keeps telling me that it's not about raw power but about focus and control. I guess he knows what he's talking about."

Down below, Gohan was preparing breakfast. He glanced up at Goku and smiled. "Goku, come down and eat! You can't train on an empty stomach!"

Goku leaped off the rock, landing softly next to the table. "I know, Grandpa. But I've gotta figure this technique out soon! If I can get it to work, I'll be able to get stronger way faster!"

Gohan chuckled as he handed Goku a bowl of rice. "You're always in such a hurry, Goku. Remember, true strength comes with patience and discipline."

Goku wolfed down his breakfast in record time and wiped his mouth. "Yeah, yeah, I know. But I don't have time for that! What if I don't get strong enough before the bad guys show up?"

Gohan paused, tilting his head. "Bad guys? You're not still talking about those 'giant bugs' and 'evil genies,' are you?"

Goku laughed awkwardly, scratching his head. "No, no, nothing like that! Just, uh… regular bad guys. You know, the usual." He waved it off and stood up, ready to get back to training.

Gohan smiled knowingly. "Well, just be careful, Goku. You're trying something new, and it's important not to push yourself too hard."

Goku nodded, already running back to his training spot. I've got to figure out how to control my ki better, he thought. If I can control my energy, I can make my clothes heavier, and then I'll get stronger in no time!

He sat down on a boulder and closed his eyes, focusing on his inner energy. Goku imagined his ki flowing through him, like water running through a river. He could feel it, but it was still wild and unrefined, like a storm in his body. He needed to learn to calm it, to guide it where he wanted.

"Come on… focus…" Goku muttered, furrowing his brow. He felt the energy begin to respond to his thoughts, but just as he tried to push it into his clothes, he lost control, and a burst of energy sent his shirt flying off into the trees.

Goku groaned. "Again?! That's the third shirt this week!" He slumped down, frustrated.

From the house, Gohan shouted, "Goku! You're not blowing up your clothes again, are you?"

"No, Grandpa!" Goku shouted back, quickly picking up a random stick and pretending to train with it. "I'm just, uh, practicing my stick fighting!"

Gohan didn't seem convinced, but he let it go. Meanwhile, Goku sighed, staring at the sky. There's got to be a way to do this. If I can control my ki and push it into my clothes…

Then, an idea popped into his head. Wait a minute! What if I try doing it in smaller steps? Maybe I'm trying to move too much energy at once!

Excited by the thought, Goku stood up again and focused. This time, he didn't try to channel all of his energy at once. Instead, he focused on controlling just a tiny bit of his ki. He imagined it like a small spark, and slowly, he directed it into his clothes.

Nothing exploded this time, which Goku took as a good sign.

Carefully, he added more ki, bit by bit, focusing on making his clothes heavier. He could feel the fabric starting to weigh down on him slightly. It wasn't much, but it was a start!

"Yes! It's working!" Goku grinned, feeling a small victory. He added more ki, making the clothes a little heavier, but then—

Riiip!

His pants tore straight down the middle.

Goku's face turned bright red as he looked down at the torn fabric. "Uh oh… I forgot about that part…"

From the distance, Gohan shouted again, "Goku! You're not destroying your clothes again, are you?"

"Uh, no, Grandpa! Just a… slight wardrobe malfunction!" Goku quickly ran behind a bush, trying to cover himself. I really need to work on the durability part of this technique…

After changing into yet another set of clothes, Goku decided to take a break by the lake. As he stared at his reflection in the water, he thought back to the time he had practiced his "Cute Face Technique."

"Maybe I should try that again," Goku said to himself. "It might not make me stronger, but it could still come in handy."

He puffed out his cheeks and widened his eyes, staring intently at his reflection in the lake. He even added a little head tilt for extra cuteness. Goku watched his reflection, wondering if this would work on Bulma when she arrived.

"I look adorable!" he laughed to himself. But his victory was short-lived when a fish suddenly jumped out of the water and splashed him right in the face.

"Argh! Come on! I can't even impress myself without something going wrong!" Goku shook the water out of his hair, annoyed but still laughing.

As the day wore on, Goku continued practicing his ki control, and little by little, his progress improved. By the evening, he was able to make his clothes slightly heavier without tearing them apart. It wasn't perfect, but it was a start.

Sitting around the campfire with Grandpa Gohan that night, Goku felt a sense of accomplishment, even though his technique was far from complete.

"I'm getting there, Grandpa. Just you wait—soon, I'll be wearing the heaviest clothes ever, and I'll be the strongest fighter in the world!" Goku declared with a mouthful of food.

Gohan chuckled. "Well, don't get ahead of yourself, Goku. Remember, it's not just about strength. It's about control, balance, and knowing your limits."

Goku nodded, though he wasn't entirely sure he agreed. Limits are for people who don't have villains like Frieza and Cell to deal with, he thought to himself. I'm going to be the strongest, and I'm going to do it fast!

As he lay in bed that night, Goku stared up at the ceiling, his mind racing with ideas. He still had a lot of work to do, but he knew he was on the right path. And with a little more time and practice, he'd be ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Just wait, Bulma," Goku whispered with a grin. "I'll be super strong by the time you get here. And I'll definitely impress you with my cute face technique!"

With that, he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of ki control, heavy clothes, and a whole lot of fish splashes.
