Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

DING DONG

Elaine: Yes, who is it? -asked a red-haired woman in her late thirties as she opened the door-

Harry: Good afternoon, Mrs. Elaine, is Jean home? -he asked politely.

Elaine: Harry! What a pleasure to see you again, Jean is in her room -she said while letting Harry in-

Harry: Thank you, Mrs. Elaine -he said hurriedly, running towards Jean's room.

Elaine: Young love -she thought, placing a hand on her cheek as she reminisced about her youth- Maybe I should bake some cookies for the kids.

JEAN'S ROOM

Harry: Jean? Are you awake? -he said, knocking on her door-

Jean: -from the other side of the room- Harry? Go away! I don't want to see you!

Harry: Please, Jean, I want to talk to you before I leave -he said sadly, pressing his forehead against the door- Let me in for just a few minutes.

After a few minutes of silence, Harry sighed, ready to leave. But suddenly, the door swung open, and inertia took over, causing Harry, who had been pressed against the door, to fall to the floor. With a groan of pain, he opened his eyes and looked up, seeing Jean with her arms crossed and a frown on her face.

Jean: You have five minutes to talk, and then you're out of here.

Harry: -getting up quickly- Listen to me, Jean, the magical world is truly amazing, and I always told you I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere, but now I finally feel like I fit in and that the emptiness I had is being filled -he said with a smile that slowly faded- but I still feel like something is missing, and it's you, Jean. I can't leave knowing that you hate me -he clutched his head in frustration- Look, I don't know what's happening to me, but since that kiss, I can't stop thinking about you! And I—

Before he could continue his speech, he was interrupted by Jean, who kissed him. Harry froze for a moment but then reciprocated. He felt like he was in heaven; the electrifying sensation of being kissed by Jean was something incredibly addictive.

Crash!

Quickly, Jean and Harry separated, both blushing and staring at the door, where Elaine stood, having dropped a tray of cookies and hot chocolate.

Elaine: Excuse me, kids, I didn't know you were in the middle of something -she said nervously while quickly picking up the things and leaving the room.

Jean and Harry remained frozen for a moment, looking at each other again. The closeness they had was tempting; this time, Harry took the initiative and moved closer to kiss Jean again.

CLICK CLICK

They separated once more to look at the door, seeing Elaine there again, only this time with a camera capturing the moment between them.

Jean: Mom! Get out already! -she quickly closed the door, her face as red as a tomato- I'm sorry about that, Harry.

They looked at each other again and laughed at what had just happened. Once they calmed down, Jean hugged Harry with a smile.

Harry: -stroking the redhead's hair- I'm glad you forgave me. I wanted to sort everything out before I went to Hogwarts.

Jean: I also want you to forgive me, Harry. I was selfish wanting to force you to stay -she looked at Harry with a smile- Before you leave, can we make a promise? -seeing Harry nod, she continued- When you come back from Hogwarts, we'll be a couple so we can enjoy the holidays together.

Harry: Alright, it's a promise -he said with a smile- but it has to be a pinky promise.

Jean: A pinky promise, nothing and no one can break it -she added as they linked their pinkies.

KING'S CROSS STATION, LONDON - SEPTEMBER 1st

Harry: Platform 9¾? -Totally confused, he approached the wall between platforms 9 and 10, but there was nothing- This must be a joke.

Harry was about to leave when he noticed a large red-haired family dressed strangely. Following them with his eyes, he was surprised to see them pass through a column between platforms 9 and 10.

Harry: What? -he quickly pushed his cart towards the column, ran, and to his surprise, passed through the wall, revealing a view different from before. Turning around, he saw the Hogwarts Express.

Harry: Woah! -with a smile, he pushed his cart while looking around curiously until he reached the train door and boarded.

MINUTES LATER

Harry: Finally! An empty compartment -he sighed in relief and set his bags down. Once finished, he reclined while looking at the forest through the window- I wonder what Hogwarts will be like -Harry thought about everything he had been through and smiled- Yes, after all, what could go wrong?
