Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

Sighs – Harry sighs as he looks out the window with a smile. He sees parents saying goodbye to their children, kids shaking with excitement or fear at the thought of attending a new school. But what caught his attention the most was a large family of redheads: the mother constantly scolding the red-haired twins, and beside her, a red-haired girl curiously watching the entire station.

"What a curious family," Harry thought with a smile. A noise sounded at his door, and Harry turned. There was a chubby boy standing there.

— H-Hello! I'm Neville Longbottom — said the boy, holding a frog in his hands.

— Nice to meet you, Neville, I'm Harry Potter.

— Harry Potter! Is it really you!? It's an honor to meet you! — Neville quickly shook off his previous shyness and stepped closer to Harry to shake his hand.

Harry accepted the handshake but was overwhelmed by the now excited Neville.

Neville: I have so many questions I'd like to ask you right now.

Harry: Neville...

Neville: How did you defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?

Harry: Neville!

Neville: How did you survive the killing curse?

Harry: NEVILLE!!! — he shouted.

Neville: What!? — Neville responded, completely elated by Harry's tone.

Harry: Your frog isn't here anymore. I don't see it anywhere.

Neville: Trevor! I'm so sorry, Harry! Would you help me find him? — he asked desperately.

Harry: Of course, I'd be happy to help.

Harry stood up, and along with Neville, they walked through the train looking for Trevor, wagon by wagon. Along the way, they passed a blonde boy who appeared to be accompanied by two bodyguards. He seemed to be looking for someone, but they didn't pay him any attention and continued on their way.

Swosh.

— Sorry to interrupt, have you seen a frog around here? — Harry took the initiative to speak to the girls in the compartment.

Cho Chang: No, but I'm sure this girl can help you — she pointed to the girl with thick hair sitting in front of her.

Hermione: Me? But I haven't even finished telling you about magical theory...

Cho Chang: No! I mean, no, I've already read that — she nervously laughed. — I'm sure they'll need your knowledge to find the frog. Right, guys? — she turned her head and asked them.

Harry: Um, well, I guess so… — he answered confused, not understanding the situation that was unfolding.

Hermione: I guess we'll talk more about magical history later — she replied cheerfully. — Bye, Cho!

The now trio left the compartment, leaving Cho Chang alone inside. The Asian girl sighed in relief as she realized she was free from Hermione, but the words "we'll talk later" echoed in her head. Realizing she would have to endure hours and hours of chatting with Hermione, she collapsed in her seat, and a depressing aura surrounded her.

Hermione: You've probably already heard my name, but I'll introduce myself anyway. I'm Hermione Granger.

Neville: I'm Neville Longbottom, and it's my frog we're looking for.

Harry: Yes, and his name is Trevor. By the way, I'm Harry Potter.

Hermione: Potter? You're the one who survived the killing curse?

Harry: Yes... I guess you could say that — he said while scratching the back of his neck. He knew he was famous in the wizarding world thanks to Hagrid, but he didn't expect to be so famous that everyone would recognize him.

Neville: There! I saw him! I saw Trevor! — the boy quickly ran after the frog.

Harry: No, wait, Neville! Don't go that way, because…! — CRASH. — There's the lady with the snack trolley! — he sighed and went to help Neville while also helping to pick up some of the sweets.

Hermione: We're so sorry! We really didn't mean to knock over your candy cart! — Hermione apologized quickly as she gathered up the sweets.

Trolley Witch: Don't worry, dears, accidents happen — she pulled out her wand, and with a flick, her trolley and the sweets returned to their place. She gave them a final smile and went back to distributing sweets.

Neville: Phew, that was close. I thought I was going to die from that hit — he said, rubbing his head.

Harry: Come on, Neville, it wasn't that hard of a hit — he said, trying to stifle his laughter, along with Neville, who was also holding back his own.

Hermione: Sorry to ruin your fun, guys, but I think we've lost Trevor again.

Neville opened his eyes wide, looked around, and didn't see any sign of his beloved frog.

Neville: Trevor! Oh no, what is my grandmother going to say!? — he exclaimed in horror.

Pansy: I'll have five chocolate frogs, please — Pansy asked the snack lady.

Millicent: And I'll have fifteen chocolate frogs!

Daphne: Just three for me, please — she asked elegantly.

Pansy: Well, as I was saying, the other day I was hanging out with Draco and was about to take his hand… — she said, her face turning redder.

Millicent: Really!? — she asked enthusiastically. — I can imagine what it would be like to take Crabbe's hand.

Daphne: P-Pansy… — her voice trembled as she pointed to the wrapper Pansy was holding.

Pansy: Huh? — she looked down and saw a frog in the open wrapper. — Kyaaaa! — The frog jumped onto her. — Help! Get it off me!

Harry: Did you hear that? — he asked the pair.

Hermione: It sounds like a girl's scream — she answered, looking in the direction of the scream. — I don't know why, but I feel like this has something to do with your frog.

Neville: — He paled at Hermione's comment. — What are we waiting for? Let's go already!

Running, the kids reached the commotion and quickly entered the compartment. The first thing they saw was a blonde girl helping a fainted brunette, and finally, a chubby girl with black hair trying to kill Trevor with a suitcase.

Neville: Trevor! — At the shout, the girls froze in place and looked at the boy. The frog took the opportunity to return to its owner's arms. — Finally, I found you!

Millicent: So, it was your pet! — she said furiously, pointing at Pansy, who was still unconscious. — Look what your frog did to my friend!

Neville: I'm so sorry! Trevor escaped, and we've been looking for him all over the train!

Millicent: I don't care! You'll have to pay for everything your frog did to us!

Before Neville could respond, everything went dark, as the train was passing under a bridge. When the lights came back on, Neville found his hands empty, and when he looked, Trevor had escaped again.

Neville: Trevor! — he ran off to continue searching for his frog.

Hermione: Wait, Neville! — she ran after the boy.

Harry: Look, we're really sorry, and I swear we'll pay you back one day, but I need to help my friend. — Harry ran after the two who were now his friends.

Millicent: — She stepped to the door of her compartment. — Hey! Don't run away! — Watching the boys' retreating backs, she could only stomp her foot and grumble as she returned to her compartment.

A very deep apology to everyone for leaving the story somewhat abandoned, but my university duties are killing me, and, honestly, I want to write, but many times I can't find any free time to do so. Now that Christmas and the end of the year are approaching, I will be more free and will continue the story because I have many ideas I want to implement. Also, as always, I would appreciate it if you could help me with any comments, to keep improving my writing, because I want to dedicate myself to being a film director and screenwriter. In case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night.
