Ling Wei took a shower and stood by the balcony, lost in thought.
Warm hands wrapped around her waist.
"Jian, your hair is wet; go blow-dry it."
"Let me hug you for a while," Jiang Jian whispered.
Her smile widened; she was indeed lucky.
"Right, Ling Wei, let me take you somewhere special tomorrow."
Ling Wei's eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Where?"
Jiang Jian's lips curled into a sly smile.
"Patience, my love."
Their eyes locked, and Ling Wei's heart skipped a beat.
....
They strolled through the park, blending in with the crowd.
Ling Wei couldn't help but steal glances at Jiang Jian.
His casual attire – a simple white shirt and jeans – suited him surprisingly well.
His piercing eyes sparkled in the sunlight.
His aloofness only added to his allure.
"Stop drooling," Jiang Jian teased.
Ling Wei's cheeks flushed.
"Who says I'm drooling?" she feigned innocence.
Jiang Jian chuckled.
"Your eyes say otherwise."
Ling Wei smacked his hand playfully.
They walked hand in hand.
For once, they were just a normal couple.
No fancy dinners or high-society events.
Just the two of them.
Enjoying each other's company.
As they sat on a bench, watching children play.
Jiang Jian turned to Ling Wei.
"You know, I never thought I'd find someone like you."
Ling Wei's heart skipped a beat.
"Someone like me?"
Jiang Jian's eyes locked onto hers.
"Someone who sees past my facade."
