The Spirit Masters from the capital had gone back a few days ago and the sect examination that was going to happen in the village was now again gonna happen in the capital.
Now both Ye Xin and Gai Luo have to travel to the capital to take part in the examination.
"No point crying over spilt milk." Ye Xin said and sighed. He then looked at Gai Luo, "Summon Xiao Sha, we don't have much time to waste." Ye Xin said.
Gai Luo turned silent and after a few seconds nodded, he was still feeling homesick, however, he understood Ye Xin's words and summoned Xiao Sha.
Soon both of them jumped on the back of Xiao Sha and then two wings made up of sand appeared on Xiao Sha. This was the new technique that Xiao Sha had learned in the last month.
"Let's go, Xiao Sha!" Gai Luo patted Xiao Sha's back and soon enough they were up in the sky.
Many of the villages came out of their house and looked at them with their eyes wide. They never thought that someone in the village would have such a powerful beast.
Although many tried to guess who they were, none were able to see them.
Ye Xin and Gai Luo on the other hand were unaware of the commotion that they had left in the village, they were currently traveling at high speeds towards the capital on the back of Xiao Sha.
"It feels so good." Gai Luo said and laughed as he looked down at the clouds, they were flying just above the clouds.
Ye Xin nodded at his words. He was impressed by this ability of Xiao Sha, Ye Xin was sure that even Hong Hai would not be able to fly this high at this speed for such long durations.
This was an amazing and useful ability.
Back at Gai Luo's home Gai Tao and his wife entered the house again and just as they did so their eyes widened in surprise. Because on the table there was a pouch and they could see gold coins in the semi-open pouch.
They slowly moved towards it and beneath the pouch, they could also see a note.
"Uncle, Aunt, consider this as a little parting gift - Ye Xin." It was a letter from Ye Xin.
Gai Tao took out the money from the bag and counted it, there were ten gold coins. Both he and his wife were extremely shocked.
However soon after a smile formed on his face. "This boy Ye Xin, he is reliable." He said and looked at his wife.
She nodded. "It's good that he is best friends with Gai Luo." She also smiled.
They had both seen just how powerful the two had become, so it wasn't a surprise for them to get such money form Ye Xin.
After placing the money in a safe place she went towards the kitchen and Gai Tao went outside the house.
However just as he was about to step out, his wife came running back to him again with another pouch in her hands.
"Honey look." She stopped him in the midway.
Gai Tao turned around with a frown on his face. "What happened Qiu?" He said, however when his eyes landed on the thing she was holding they widened again.
"Gai Luo has also left money for us, and there is even a note." Tian Qiu said.
Gai Tao gulped his saliva and moved inside the house again, he then counted the money, it was fifteen gold coins this time.
"How did these two get their hands on such a huge sum of money?" A frown appeared on his face.
"I don't think they did anything bad we have to have trust in them." Tain Qiu said.
Gai Tao turned silent and after a few moments nodded. "I hope they didn't create any sort of trouble."

After about ten hours of flying both Gai Tao and Ye Xin could finally see a huge city in the distance.
"That must be the capital." Gai Luo said as he pointed at a big tower in the distance.
The city was made of big buildings and many high towers, there were also tall walls surrounding the whole city, and on the walls there were many guards stationed, watching every moment outside and inside the city.
And it was not just Gai Luo and Ye Xin that were flying towards the city, they could see many more beasts flying, some were lower than them and some were above them.
Some were even in flying carriages that looked elegant and expensive.
Everyone stopped just outside the capital city where there was a huge settlement.
Gai Luo and Ye Xin were no different, they landed just before the settlement and then Gai Luo de-summoned Xiao Sha.
After which both of them started walking towards the settlement.
In about ten minutes they reached the place, the settlement was filled with many tents on the outside region and the inner region near the wall there were many houses and buildings made up of bricks and stones.
It was clear that the tents were just made by the people who had come from different places to take exams.
And those buildings were the property of the capital people.
Many people were walking around the settlement. The place was packed and many hawkers had set up their shops in the area.
They were selling many different things, from pills to beast food and weapons, there were shops for everything. There were even small tents from which ladies in seductive clothing tried to charm the passers.
Gai Luo and Ye Xin especially ignored them.
"First let's go and check for our registration." Ye Xin said suddenly as they were walking.
Gai Luo stayed silent and nodded. He was looking around at the people with curiosity. He could see many young guys and girls about the same age as him.
Some were walking around with their beasts and some were without them. Most of them had solemn expressions on their faces and walked silently. It was clear that they were nervous about the test.
Some of them looked rather happy and confident as if they were sure that they would be getting into a Sect no matter what.
"I wonder how strong we are compared to these guys?" Gai Luo said as he looked at Ye Xin.
Ye Xin listened to him and stayed silent for a few moments. "We will find out in the examination."
Gai Luo let out a breath and nodded. He was also somewhat nervous about the examination, he had promised his mom and dad that he would get into a good sect and he wanted to keep his promise.
He didn't want them to be heartbroken for him.
Ye Xin could feel what was going through Gai Luo's mind and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, we will get in a good sect, our training was no joke."
Gai Luo listened to him and remembered the training they had been doing for the past month, they had been killing stronger and stronger beasts every time they went out.
There were many times that their lives were at risk, however, they never told it to Gai Tao.
They have faced life and death circumstances about ten times this past month and as he result not only did their physical power increase even their instincts and mental focus have increased a lot.
And credit for all of this is gone to Ye Xin after all he was the one who forced Gai Luo to this extent, if Gai Tao had known about the type of beasts they were killing in the wilderness then he would have died by the shock.
Taking in a deep breath, Gai Luo calmed down and his confidence returned a bit.
Ye Xin on the other hand also took in a deep breath as he looked at the other aspirants. They looked strong and confident to him.
Dispelling all the negative thoughts they finally reached in front of a three-story building in front of which there was a huge line.
"This is the building." Ye Xin said and he looked at the long line with a dissatisfied expression on his face, he hated long lines.
Gai Luo nodded and moved behind the line to stand there.
Ye Xin stood behind him, and it was only after three hours did their turn came. First was Gai Luo.
They were currently standing inside the building and in front of them was the same lazy old man who was at their village for the beast-taming ceremony.
He looked at Gai Luo and nodded. "Give me your Examination Registration Form." The old man said.
Gai Luo quickly took out a thin yellow paper from his back and placed it on the table, this was Examination Form and cost about one silver coin, however, this time it was provided by the village chief so it was free for both Gai Luo and Ye Xin.
The old man checked the form and then looked at Gai Luo, "So you have a sand eater?" He asked.
Gai Luo nodded at his words.
"Summon it." The old man said.
Gai Luo nodded and without any hesitation, he summoned the Sand Eater in front of the old man and all the other people.
And no one was surprised, because this was common, everyone till now had been asked to take out their pets in front of the old man, so Gai Luo wasn't surprised.
