In the year 2080, The United States of America discovered a new element called Oddium, named after it's multiple odd abilities, properties and the indisputable fact that, well, it just doesn't make sense!

After thorough study, Adaptium was finally understood and soon weapons were made out of it. The USA then gave the whole world a choice. Join them or face nuclear anhialation with these new weapons.

Of course some countries tries to fight back like Russia and North Korea but loss was inevitable. After a 20 year war, most of the world was united under one flag and it was named the Commonwealth.

Over the course of time, society as a whole changed drastically as countries where now called states and even cities and towns were renamed!

A multitude of smaller countries also began to appear like Dragonia, Onyankoponia and Yugoslavia. They were separate from the Commonwealth and managed their own affairs.

For a long time there was peace worldwide.

Until the year 2120. 40 years later, and 30 years before our story begins.
