For two days straight he had trained his Magic. Unfortunately, due to him being 'sick', he could not go outside and practice it, not to mention it is a dumb idea as it would be seen by the villagers. If not, the disturbance of Mana could be sense by the Mages, plus whatever destruction he might cause.
So, he had to do the more patient-testing training, namely meditation and Mana control, with the hope of either of it would help improve his Magic capability.
"Well, that should be it for now." he wipe the sweat forming on his forehead. His training is not grueling but he did spend his time in his room with his window shut to ensure no one could see him practicing.
But it did have the side effect of causing the room to be a little hotter. Oh, how he wish for winter to hit in. At least he would no longer be tormented by the heat.
"But, I still can find any reason for me to be send to this Alternate Earth." he said to himself. Ardent could only sigh.
"I wish to at least learn the reason." he said, hoping some higher entities might hear him and answer his prayer. It might not work but at least he could cross the attempt of his list.

Ardent woke up to see he was in space, floating aimlessly in the sea of stars.
"Whaaa! Where am I?!" he yelled in absolute panic, kicking his feet in hope of finding solid ground, or what could be found in the expenses of the void.
[ Do not be alarmed child. ]
"Who's there?!" he was absolutely alarmed, looking around in search of the source of the voice.
[ I am in front of you. ]
Ardent looked forward to see the silhouette of a humanoid figure, one that both the same height as his yet seemingly towering above him.
"W-who are you?" he stuttered, which was forgivable for his current situation. After all, even a soldier would be terrified if they suddenly find themselves in space in front of a mysterious entity.
[ Why are you so scared child? Did you not call for my presence not long ago? ]
Ardent was reminded he did do so, praying for some higher entities to give him the reason for him taking over the body of a child in Alternate Earth, but he did not expect to get a reply quickly.
"Yes. Yes, I did. So, will you answer my question or do I need to do something for you?" Ardent asked. If his experience with games, manga and anime were any clue, higher entities, or gods in a simpler term did not give aid without getting something out of it, with exception of a few.
[ What I want? Well, I do not need anything. After all, what would interest a higher being like me, that you, a mere human could provide? ]
Ardent could not find any reply to that. It make sense, when he think about it. What does he, a puny human could give to a literal deity?
"So, you are going to answer my question? Just like that?"
[ Do you not wish to know the answer to your question? ]
"No, I do! It's just-" Ardent was about to say he was wary of being scammed but why would a deity do such a thing. Well, except for amusement maybe. But saying that might insult the deity and he did not plan on receiving the wrath of such being.
"Can we go back to the question?" Ardent decided to just ask the question. Of why did he get sent to this Alternate Earth.
[ ... To answer your question, first, we must go to the reason why the child you currently using must survive. Normally, a child like him would die immediately, with no one possessing them so they could technically leave. As for why, well ... ]
Ardent wondered of the reason. Does the child have the fate of being a king, or even an emperor? Or would he be a savior of mankind? His thought process might go to the chuunibyou territory, but it's the one that seem to make the most sense. If not, why would he suddenly be revived, albeit with a different soul inhabiting his current body.
Unfortunately, there exist a thing called mundane reason.
[ It's because his body receive a chance to be revive through a game of chance in the Underworld. ]
Ardent blinked, before blinking again. He then slapped himself, to ensure he is not dreaming, before remembering he technically does. He then gave the higher entity a look that conveyed his thought of the entire thing.
"Really?" his deadpan tone would have make even his employer wince in his previous life. Sadly, deities are not his employer.
[ Are there any other reason why should we give the child's body to someone else? ]
Ardent opened his mouth before realizing what he was thinking is due to the mindset of watching too many anime, reading too many manga and playing too many games. In other words, it the thought process of a Weeb.
"Well, no, but I expect there to be some deeper reason to it." Ardent replied, hoping to convey his thought. "It's not like it happen with my probably death."
[ ... ]
The sudden silence did not help the deity.
[ ... You decided to click on a website to get sent to another world. ]
Ardent quickly remembered the fact. He did find such website and only click it for fun, thinking it is a game of sort. Never could je imagine it would lead him to be transmigrated into a fantasy version of Earth.
He sighed, massaging his head in hope of reducing the headache he was feeling at the moment, but no such luck.
"I already get my answer. Do you wish to say anything else or need me to do anything in particular?" Ardent in the most fake-polite tone he could conjure.
[ There is nothing that I want that you could provide, so this is the end of the conversation. It did not pan out the way either of us want, so it is better to end it. ]
Ardent nodded, before finding himself blinking quickly, now inside his body, just with a headache that seem to refuse to leave.
In the end he complained,
"I don't even get cool and helpful system to help me blitz through this world."
