Chapter 10 - Chapter 9

SCOTT'S POV

Once inside the bathroom, I take off my clothes and step under the warm water coming from the shower. I let the water run over my body for an indeterminate amount of time, slowly applying soap and shampoo. After a long shower, I grab the towel that is hanging near the sink and wipe the water that was running down my freshly washed hair with it. I was drying myself when I hear a loud knock on the door.

- Did you die in there? - I hear Hanna's muffled but still irritating voice.

- What is it? - I ask impatiently.

- You've been taking a shower for almost an hour, so the planet's water will run out - She says and then I hear the sound of her heels clicking on the floor. After she says it I realize that I've spent too much time in the shower. Great! Arriving on time was definitely what I didn't want.

- See if it doesn't fill up and leave my room - I say irritably and hear the sound of the door being closed. I wrap the towel around my waist and go out feeling the cold air coming in through the windows that are half open. I rummage through my closet and take out some black pants and a shirt of the same color. I open the underwear drawer and take out some black boxers.

I put on everything I had grabbed and look for my sneakers that should be next to the bed but they're not there. I look under the bed and there's no sign of them.

- HANNAAAAA - I shout and in a few minutes she opens the door and comes in with a not very good look on her face.

- What is it? - She asks. - Where are my sneakers that were right here? - I ask and see an amused expression on her face.

- And I know. Use another one - She shrugs and turns around, but I notice a half smile on her lips.

- I'm not going with another one, I want that one and I'm not leaving here without them. - I say throwing myself on the bed.

- Okay. They're over there. - She says pointing to a corner next to the armchair that was near the wardrobe.

- How old are you? Five? - I ask more irritated than I was a few seconds ago.

- I just wanted to joke around. - She says innocently.

- Get them and bring them to me. - I say pointing to where the sneakers were. She walks over there and comes back with them in her hands. - Now open the second drawer and bring me a pair of socks. - I say, sitting on the bed and she looks at me with a confused face.

- Am I a maid now? - She asks irritably.

- If you don't bring any, I can lie down on my bed now and sleep. Thinking about it, it would be a much better alternative than leaving the comfort of my room to go to an amusement park that only has children and a bunch of perverted idiots. - I say and she drags herself to my closet, huffing. - And don't mess anything up. - She takes out a pair of black socks and comes towards me.

- Take it. Anything else? - She says, handing me the socks.

- No. You can go now. - I say and she leaves sulking. I put on the socks and put on my sneakers. I go in front of the mirror and run my hand through my hair, messing it up. I put on perfume and take out my cell phone, I look at it and there are twenty calls and ten messages from Leo.

I laugh happily and leave, closing the door. When I get to the living room, I see an impatient Hanna sitting on the couch. I walk past her and grab the car keys that I had left on a small table near the front door. I grab the keys and open the door.

- Are you coming? - I ask from outside. Hanna walks past me, huffing and I laugh. I close the door behind me and go to get the car. I unlock the doors and get in. Hanna gets in next. [...]

When we were already in the park's parking lot, I look at Hanna and she was still silent. She didn't say anything on the way here, she remained sullen the whole way.

- You can talk now. - I say and she looks at me but doesn't say anything. She takes off her seatbelt and was about to open the door when I stop her. - Before you leave, a few rules. - I say and she looks at me in surprise. - First: no leaving my side without my consent. And second: no getting close to Leo. Got it? - I ask and she rolls her eyes.

- What's that for? I'm not a kid anymore! - She asks angrily.

- Because I know Leo's type very well. - I explain.

- But of course, one idiot knows another. - She says in an annoyed tone.

- And also because I love you and want the best for you, you annoying thing. - I say and she smiles.

- I love you too. - She says, placing a kiss on my cheek. - But only sometimes. - She says, smiling. - Now can I leave? - She asks and I nod.

Hanna gets out of the car and waits for me at the entrance to the park.

I lock the doors and go to meet her, we go in and I look around to see if I see any of the boys. I hope Leo isn't the first one because if he is, I fear for his life and mine. We walked into the park and I took a look around, it was a pretty cool place, there were kids everywhere but there were also the hotties who were the only reason I was here.

- Scott, they're over there. - Hanna says, pointing to where they were. As we get closer, I see Leo, Mark, Jack, Penny and another girl I've seen at college but I don't remember her name.

- What's up? - I greet them as I arrive. Everyone greets me in return.

- Hi guys! - Hanna says and everyone greets her with a smile.

- Are you going to a funeral, Scott? - Leo says, looking me up and down.

- If I kill you today, maybe I'll show up at yours. - I answer seriously.

- Ahahah, how funny. Are you so mad because I called Hanna? - He asks, looking at Hanna, who was quiet next to me.

- Imagine. - I answer sarcastically.

- What's up, Scott? Hanna is too pretty to hide. - He says, pulling me by the shoulders. I look at his hand and he seems to have understood the message because he immediately lets go of me.

- Hi, handsome. - Penny says in a sick voice and I just nod.

- Did you call Penny? - I ask quietly so Leo can hear.

- Not me, it was Jack. He's interested in her friend and since we said you were coming too, she wanted to come along. - He answers and goes back to where he was before I arrived.

I can already see that this girl won't let go of my foot anymore!

We were talking about random things when I see a girl from afar with her back to me holding a boy's hand. The boy was pointing to the sides and when the girl turned around, my doubts were confirmed and a smile appeared on my face. I stared at them until a pair of eyes met mine.
