Hinata whispered, resigned to her fate.
She had always known that as the eldest daughter of the Hyuga clan, her destiny would not be her own. From birth, she had been trained to accept the responsibilities and expectations placed upon her.
Now, she had no choice but to accept her fate once more—this time as Sasuke's wife.
"Now go to bed." Sasuke said with a smile, "You'll need to report to Kurenai Yuhi's team tomorrow. And remember, my dear wife, from now on, only I have the right to bully you. No one else."
Hinata didn't realize just how considerate Sasuke was being. His restraint, limiting their time together to just a few hours, was something he hadn't offered to Sakura or Ino. They had been so thoroughly worn out by Sasuke that they could barely get out of bed the next day.
Despite everything, Hinata knew that Sasuke wasn't the man she had truly wanted. But as the heiress to the Hyuga clan, she also understood that high-born women like her often ended up in marriages of convenience. She had always known that her fate might be to marry a man she didn't love.
Sasuke, despite his domineering nature, was not without his redeeming qualities. He treated Hinata with some measure of respect. He was, after all, the last Uchiha and incredibly handsome to boot.
Hinata fell asleep, her mind clouded with conflicting emotions.
__________
The next morning, something unexpected happened. Sasuke decided to personally escort Hinata to report to her new team. And, much to everyone's surprise, he proudly announced that he, Sasuke Uchiha, was Hinata's boyfriend.
"Sasuke, is this really necessary?" Hinata asked, embarrassed by the public declaration.
"Don't worry, Hinata. I'm not trying to control you or smother you." Sasuke said, his voice reassuring, "You know I have other girlfriends too."
Sasuke wasn't the type to suffocate his partners. He didn't believe in restricting their personal freedom. He only wanted to protect them—especially from the dangers that came with being a ninja.
That morning, Hinata's younger sister, Hanabi, had spent the night fuming. She had stayed up almost all night, cursing Sasuke in her mind. At dawn, she hurried to her sister's room, only to find that Sasuke and Hinata had already left.
"Damn it!" Hanabi muttered to herself, "They got away."
She considered telling her father, the clan head Hiashi, about the affair between Sasuke and Hinata. But Hanabi hesitated, worried that her sister might suffer for it too.
__________
In the early hours of the morning, many ninjas in Konoha had already begun their missions. Konoha's technology was a strange mix. They had household appliances, but no internet and few sources of entertainment. As a result, most people went to bed early and woke up early unless they were on a night mission.
Despite the whirlwind of events, Hinata couldn't bring herself to regret her choices. Being with Sasuke wasn't easy, but she knew she had to adapt to her new reality.
But gradually, she accepted it.
Even if she couldn't resist Sasuke, Hinata decided to try and accept the situation.
Hinata had always had a strong sense of destiny. The pressure her family had placed on her since childhood had made her believe that everything was determined by fate.
From the moment she was born into the Hyuga clan, her life's path had seemed almost predetermined.
Perhaps...
Meeting Sasuke and being controlled by him was also part of her fate.
Fortunately, Sasuke treated Hinata well.
He bought her food, took good care of her, and personally escorted her to Team 8.
No other girl had received this level of attention from Sasuke, not even Sakura or Ino.
Hinata held a special place in Sasuke's heart, much more than anyone else.
Sasuke had liked Hinata even before traveling through time.
Now that he had finally won her, he was determined to cherish and protect her.
Sasuke's happiness naturally stemmed from seeing Hinata happy.
He not only took good care of her but also helped ease the pressure she felt deep within her.
"Hinata, I know you've never brought it up, but you must care about the fact that I have so many girlfriends, right?" Sasuke said softly.
Hinata looked at Sasuke but remained silent. This topic made her uncomfortable, and she found it hard to face calmly.
"Actually, the reason I fall in love with every girl I meet isn't because I'm some sort of romantic."
Sasuke continued, analyzing his own personality to help Hinata understand.
"I'm different from the typical scumbag! Most scumbags abandon their partners after being with them. But I, Sasuke, want to build a large harem. Every woman who is with me will be my concubine."
"Even the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, supports this. He wants me to expand the Uchiha clan." Sasuke held Hinata's hand tightly, his voice turning affectionate, "Hinata, I can't give you a unique love. Your husband is destined to have many women. But don't worry, Hinata. You've always had a special place in my heart."
"I'll protect you for the rest of your life and ensure you're happy. You don't have to worry about external pressure. As for the Hyuga clan, Hinata, I know it feels like a destiny you can't escape. But to me, the Hyuga clan is insignificant. The entire clan combined isn't half as important to me as you are."
Hinata was stunned.
She stared at Sasuke, completely unprepared for his words.
Although shy, she managed to ask, "The Third Hokage... Why did he agree to let you... build a harem?"
Even saying the word "harem" was too much for her.
Sasuke immediately smiled, filled with pride, "Hinata, this only proves how amazing your husband is."
In simple terms, Sasuke was incredibly strong, possibly even as powerful as the Third Hokage himself.
"..."
Hinata was finally in shock.
She had always known Sasuke was strong, but she hadn't realized just how powerful he had become.
"Sasuke, you're not lying to me, are you?"
"Silly girl, it seems if I don't show you some of my strength, you won't believe me." With that, Sasuke activated his Byakugan right in front of Hinata.
"..."
Hinata stood there, frozen in place.
This was something she never could have anticipated.
"Hinata, now do you understand why I can move freely through the Hyuga clan? My Byakugan can observe every member of your clan."
Hinata asked in shock, "How is that possible? The Byakugan is a bloodline limit, but you, Sasuke, are clearly from the Uchiha clan..."
Could Sasuke's mother have been from the Hyuga clan?
Sasuke smiled, pinching Hinata's soft, cute cheeks, "Not just the Byakugan, but the advanced Sharingan as well. I, Sasuke, can acquire them both easily. Hinata, my dear wife, now you know how powerful I am!"
"To be honest, even if your entire Hyuga clan united against me, they still wouldn't be able to defeat me. So, the Hyuga clan may be your destiny, but to me, they're just a bit bigger in size."
Hinata was astonished.
For the first time, she realized how amazing Sasuke truly was.
It wasn't just empty promises when Sasuke said he could protect her.
He meant every word.
"So, in order to win me over, the Third Hokage allowed me to establish a harem in Konoha. I can have many wives." Sasuke added shamelessly.
He wasn't boasting about his strength; he was boasting about his growing harem.
In the world of Naruto, the idea of a harem was unfamiliar to most.
Only in ancient times, when it was common to have multiple wives, would women compete to be part of an emperor's court.
"Sasuke..." Hinata felt a mixture of emotions—surprise, confusion, and maybe even a little hope.
Sasuke reassured her again, "Alright, don't overthink it. I'll handle all the challenges. Hinata, from the moment you became my wife, you no longer need to fear anything in this world. I will take care of everything."
Hinata felt moved.
Is this what it feels like to be protected by someone?
And why did she suddenly feel so lucky?
Maybe being with Sasuke wasn't as bad as she had feared.
After all, it was impossible for her and Naruto to be together now.
Even if she wasn't Sasuke's forever, she knew she wouldn't end up with Naruto.
It seemed like becoming part of Sasuke's harem was something she could accept.
When Sasuke arrived with Hinata at Team 8's base, led by Jounin Kurenai Yuhi, the team members—Shino Aburame and Kiba Inuzuka—were shocked.
"Uchiha Sasuke—"
"What are you doing here?" Kurenai asked, stunned. When she saw that Sasuke was holding Hinata's hand, her surprise deepened.
"Hinata, you and Uchiha Sasuke...?"
Sasuke raised their joined hands and announced boldly, "As you can see, Hinata is now my girlfriend."
"I came to Team 8 today to clarify that. Hinata is my girlfriend. From now on, you must respect her and take good care of her. Otherwise, I won't be happy."
Such arrogance!
Kiba, hot-tempered like Naruto, exploded in anger.
"You shameless Sasuke! First, you were with Sakura and Ino on our graduation day from the Ninja Academy, and now you're dragging Hinata into this!"
Kiba had heard all about Sasuke's reputation recently and knew he wasn't a good man.
But this—this was too much.
He was furious and tried to attack Sasuke.
But with just a look, Sasuke had Kiba immobilized.
"What... What is this?" Kiba had never experienced something like this before.
Shino, always calm and wearing his sunglasses, spoke quietly, "This must be an advanced Sharingan technique."
A basic Sharingan couldn't have this level of control.
Sasuke smirked, "Looks like I need to show you a little bit of my strength."
Sasuke withdrew the Sharingan, and Kiba found himself able to move again.
But Sasuke was already moving at lightning speed, knocking Kiba down before he could even react.
Next was Shino. Despite Shino's unique ninjutsu, he too was easily overpowered.
Two normal punches were all it took.
"I'll show you something else." Sasuke said, forming hand seals.
Suddenly, a surge of electricity crackled around him.
"Lightning Release: Chidori!"
The sound of a thousand birds filled the air as Sasuke's technique pierced through over a dozen giant trees in an instant.
With a rumble, the trees came crashing down.
