I sat in the study in my house, wondering over and over why Ian couldn't get anything tangible about the rogue girl. The only thing that he could find was her parents and her older sister. It was like she never existed at all.
A knock interrupted my train of thought but I already knew who it was. His wolf smell was everywhere and he's one of those people I will recognize their smell even from a thousand miles.
"Come in" I said in my thick cracked voice, while the door swung open, revealing Waylon.
"Alpha!" He bowed slightly.
"Sit," I told him and he did. So far, I can confidently say that the only person who can beat his chest to know me better than anyone else is the man sitting in front of me. Waylon and Ian are my best friends but Waylon and I have been through it all. He goes to war with me. He fought along with me. He knows all my dark and ugly sides. The only person who had seen it all but still stood his ground and challenged me when he had to.
"What's up," he said, crossing his legs.
"How is she doing? I asked. Even after my warnings, Waylon still didn't heed them. He visits the rogue girl and feeds her.
"Who? He asked, feigning ignorance to annoy me. I know that but I won't give him that privilege.
"Dina" I replied with a straight face.
"Oh, I think she's still surviving" he shrugged his shoulder uninterested in what we were talking about. He always does this and it's pissing me off.
"DON'T!!!!" I warned him squarely and he looked at me like he wasn't bothered…."Don't you sit there and act like you haven't been defiling my orders" I told him but he only scoffed…
"Why should I listen to you…..wait, hold up, why do you care? I thought you didn't care if she died? So what's this all about? He asked still with his arms folded while he talked leisurely. I closed my eyes to calm myself down before speaking…
"Answer the damn question," I told him calmly but he tsk and directed his gaze from me, not giving a damn.
"WAYLON!!!!! I growled making the whole study shake….
"OH PLEASE!" He yelled back, standing on his feet.
"Don't fucking act like you care about that little girl" he yelled at me, with his hands clenched on the desk, staring into my eyes, something only he has the guts to do.
"You found your mate but all you do is sit here, starve her, treat her like some dirty linens...."Oh, that's what she is" I interrupted him but he just smirked…
"You're a coward, Levi," he said looking right into my eyes….."What did you just call me? I asked with a threatening voice as I stood on my feet, towering over him a bit. I'm 6.3 while he's 6.1
"You heard me Levi" his voice changing into that of the angry and dangerous Waylon..." You're a coward, a weak lean, and a piece of shit" My hands were already grabbing his collar so tight that an ordinary human would have passed out, out of the restriction of air.
"Speak to me, like that one more time, and you'll end up on this floor without your head attached to your neck," I say to him with much venom. I'm trying so hard and holding back from not clawing at his throat. I let him go when I noticed he wasn't struggling anymore.
"You should be thankful to the goddess that she gave you your other piece. Who knows, she might be the only person who will be able to rescue you from this hell you're living in" he said. Of course, I wasn't expecting him to just get out of my office like that.
"Get out Waylon," I told him.
"Maybe you should just reject her to save her from this bondage of being here and if you would like to know, she's sick. Hopefully, if the beast inside of you is sleeping, you should go see her" he said and walked out before I could react.
What the fuck!!! I yelled throwing everything on my desk out of the way, sinking my hand deep into the wall making a dent in it.
"Can you quit being stubborn and let's go see her?" Hades, my wolf angrily scolded me but instead of responding to him, I tried pushing him to the back of my mind but he refused…."Levi, you're making this more difficult than it already is for the both of us" I growled at him the moment he said that…
"Please let's...." I suddenly got struck. Someone was trying to mindlink me…..
"Alpha, the rogue girl just passed out and she's not responding to resuscitation" One of the guards mindlinked me…..
"Call doctor Raina. Get her to the clinic and make sure nothing happens to her before I get there" I ended the mind link before he could respond as I barged out of the house using my wolf speed to run straight to the pack's clinic. DAMM IT!! You sure have a way of pissing me off, Rogue"
