Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8: THEY ARE MATE

Wyatt…

We arrived at an old hut in the woods, just before the edge of the border. I know this place. It belongs to the oldest witch who had cohabited with us for years. I've never had reasons to visit her despite how powerful everyone claims she is.

I've only seen her once and she was pretty old but rumour has it that she's capable of changing her skin whenever she wants to. She can even become a man if she wants.

Raina knocked on the door a few times before a teenage girl not older than 13 came opening the door. Raina bowed her head to her making me wonder why but it clicked only when the young lady smiled, smooching Raina's cheeks playfully but her expression suddenly Changed. She became hostile but I don't care. She bet wouldn't have been seeing me if the Situation hadn't taken this turn.

"Please" Raina pleaded with a smile. The young girl who in disguise is the witch or seer, or whatever she's called, turned back to the room leaving the door open. Raina gave me a short nod before we went in. Raina, myself, and Ian entered.

The inside looks nothing like the rickety outside. The inside is surprisingly warm and cozy. A long old sofa by the corner that can take 3 people, then a wool chair where she made herself comfortable in front of a shinny ball, and a stool beside the sofa. Then a fireplace in front of the chairs to warm up the room.

"Sit" she commanded…I gave her a fierce glare. How dare she command me?

"You can leave, Wyatt. You're the one with a problem" she said with an equal level of glare.

"I would prefer your old self than this child speaking to me" I growled but she looked at Raina, while Raina pleaded with her eyes. I also noticed that I couldn't seem to mindlink anyone while inside her hut. She casted a spell on us.

"Please, Alpha" Doctor Raina pleaded. Glaring at the witch one more time, I finally took my seat before Ian sat beside me, and Raina then stood beside the sofa.

"Great seer, we've come to seek your help," Raina said respectfully and the witch smiled. It seems she's fond of Raina. Her expression softened while looking at her but turned cold when our eyes connected.

She finally looked away from me, into the the white ball she was seated in front of.

"You don't deserve that child" The witch glared at me. But I remain unfazed.

"Great seer, Can you reveal to us what is going on? We are all at a loss" Raina pleaded but the witch shook her head…..

"He knows what this is about" She directed her gaze at me. Okay, if this woman continues to be this bitchy, I swear I'll lose it and I don't care who the fuck she thinks she is.

"Listen, Witch, if you have something to say, say it, or we leave" I yelled at her but she only smiled.

"A lonely wolf, sitting at the highest mountain, meditating on how he killed his mate with his bare evil hands. Wishing death could take him from the guilt and pain he feels. That rings a bell?" She asked with a smirk but all I could do was mold my hand into a fist. Ready to explode but no. I won't give her that satisfaction.

"No. It doesn't ring a bell," I said with a straight face but she smirked even more.

"That girl is the only person that can save you from yourself..but" she looked at all of us carefully before her gaze finally landed on me.

"It comes with a price," she said.

"Great seer, can you tell us what this price is? Doctor Raina asked.

"Her life" She looked into the white shining ball of earlier that now radiates yellowish.

"How do you mean? Ian that have been quiet asked curiously.

"She breaks your curse and she dies. Dies by your hands" she said looking at me.

At this point, I'm beginning to get confused but before I could voice out my frustration, she continued….

"The marks on her lower chest…she's the moon and you're the shadow hovering over her and you will consume her at the end of the day"

"This is utter madness" I scoffed but Ian only glared at me before focusing on the witch..."Is there a way out? He asked.

"Yes. Let her go" she said with a smile.

"Just like that? Raina asked

"Yes. And make sure your paths never cross even if your destinies are intertwined" She said but Ian interrupted my growing outburst.

"But they're mate," Ian said, making Raina snap her head at him, then their Alpha. Okay, now it clicked" she thought.

"He's never destined to be with one. He's destined to be lonely till he meets his death" She said looking straight into my eyes.

"Bullshit" I growled, standing to my feet. …" It was a mistake coming here," I said and began to exit her hut but she halted me.

"But she's safer with you than in the hands of those looking for her" I didn't turn.

"They will use her to get to you. She'll become your nemesis" she told me and at once I rushed to stand in front of her but before I could grab her throat, she covered herself with a barrier, bouncing me back an it. Not so much effect due to my Alpha gene. I guess, her history of being the strongest witch was true.

"How dare you?!!!! I growled, making Raina and Ian a bit frightened but she remained the same.

"She's gifted. She can see the future just like you do and…she stood up and moved closer to me…."Her wolf is powerful" She said. I calmed down a bit.

"How powerful? I asked and she smiled…

"First and maybe last of its kind" She smiled and went back to her seat. I stood there fuming with anger and drowning in confusion.

"She can't feel the mate pull," I told her and she nodded.

"She won't" She replied.

"Why?" I asked folding my arms.

"Bring her to me before sunrise tomorrow. Else, don't come looking for me again" she said and right in front of us, she disappeared.

"Let's leave," I told them and they all nodded as we walked out of her hut.
