Chapter 2 - The Fight

Havana stared at him for a long time with a puzzled look on her face and then, she suddenly started chuckling which later turned into an hysterical laughter that made the class go silent as a graveyard.

She stopped after a while and her face became serious.

"So?" She raised a brow.

"So what?" He asked, getting annoyed at her behavior for the first day.

"So what if I'm neither a supernatural or a normal student? Why does things change because of that?" She asked again, this time a smirk playing on her lips.

"You are a student in need. Do you need more vocabulary for you to understand that or..." He opened his palms and fire came out of it slowly.

"….do you need this?" He asked as he stared at her and her smirk left her mouth.

"She's just a new student, Davian, she's doesn't really….." He scoffed, making Cherry end her sentence.

"Wait, did she just call him by name?" Another red head girl muttered and the supernaturals laughed.

"Big bro, what are you waiting for? Let's end these assholes." She said, clicking her tongue.

"Davina, I think I can handle this in a way that they wouldn't end up dead." Davian said, stopping his twin sister from further rants.

"Hey you, new girl." He said referring to Havana and she looked up at him slowly, her eyes playing tricks as a smile left her thin lips.

"Old boy, my name is…. Havana." She smirked.

"I don't care about your name. There's only one way you can get out of this situation. Kneel and apologize or get burnt." He moved his hand and the fire ignited again. Havana took a deep breath in as she stared at the fire on his hands.

"Nutjob." She muttered.

"What?" Davian muttered, shocked.

"I said you supernaturals….are nutjobs." She said and Davina scoffed. Her best friend, Jessica, moved to the front as she stared at Havana, eyeball to eyeball.

" Repeat what you just said." She snickered and Havana chuckled slowly.

"Wait, do y'all think this is a movie?" She asked.

"This is reality. Get it right. It's reality where those with powers can't oppress the weak. Do you know why? Even the weak, as a community, has pride. They would never let the strong trample over them. Where y'all been living all your lives. I came from New York! I am an orphan, hmmm? So I've lived my life fighting, you all don't scare me. None of you." She said and everyone looked at her shocked.

"I wonder what made me get into this darn school." She muttered and carried her bag, ready to leave the class. But then she remembered something and she turned back, blowing Davian's hand.

"I knew it. It won't go off ordinarily." She smirked and started leaving. Davian folded his fist angrily and a fire ball came out of his hand. He was about throwing it towards Havana but the teacher walked in and immediately the fireball disintegrated into pieces that died off and disappeared.

"Everyone to your seats. Where are you going, new girl?" The teacher said and turned to Havana who was already at the door.

"I'm leaving the class. I obviously don't have anything to learn from a school like this." She said and was about walking out when the door suddenly banged close.

"I've never seen a student who walked out on me before." He smiled at her and she frowned.

"Come and introduce yourself quickly. I'm twenty minutes behind my class." He said.

"Why do I have to do that?" She asked rudely. She hated the idea of having to introduce herself just because she was a new student.

"Will everyone else introduce themselves to me if I do that?" She asked again and the teacher sighed .

"I would introduce myself to you, girl. Is this the first school you are attending?" He asked, mockingly and she scoffed.

"You wish." She said and walked to the front of the class.

"My name is Havana." She said.

"Aren't you going greet them first?" The teacher asked and she turned to look at him.

"I gave them an enjoyable sight this morning. They are the ones who should greet me instead." She replied.

"Havana, introduce yourself properly." He said and she sneered.

"Boring." She muttered under her breath before looking up at the class.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm a new student here at Royale Academy, a school I don't want to be. My name is Havana, as you all know and my rules are simple, stay away from me. I don't like anyone, I've never done it before." She shook her head.

"Don't you think it's because you never tried?" Someone asked and she turned to look at her. It was Ellie, a smirk on her dolled up face as she looked like an AI.

"I don't want to." Havana replied and turned to the teacher.

"May I leave?" She asked.

"Thank you for introducing yourself, Havana. You may….have your seat."

"I asked a que…

"The door won't open even if you try to leave, not even for the supernaturals. So don't waste your efforts. By the way, my name is Erickson. Mr Erickson." He said.

"Who cares?" She muttered and the class gave a stifled laughter. Davian stared at the unfolding drama while playing a pen game by himself.

*Who is this new girl?*

"I've never been a back bencher in my life." She muttered.

"Are you a supernatural?" Erickson asked slowly.

"If I am?" She asked, raising a brow.

"If you are…." A new seat came out from the ground, clean and just like the others, most especially at the front.

"And if you aren't…." The seat disintegrated immediately and Mr Erickson smiled slowly as if daring Havana to lie.

"So you'll believe me if I say I'm a supernatural?" Havana asked, puzzled by the characters she met in here.

"Of course not. You'll have to pass through a series of test for us to find out."

"What if I say I'm not?" She asked again, toying with his head and he got that immediately.

"You'll also have to pass through the same series of test. Now have your seat. Be a back bencher just for this class and after that we can go for your test." He said.

"We can smell out the supernaturals. It's obvious she's not." Jessica muttered and Havana scoffed.

"Why? Are you?" A smirk spread on Jessica's lips as she aimed to embarrass Havana.

"You will find out after the tests, isn't it? Although, I'm pretty sure that will be useless." Havana muttered and walked to the last seat as the end of the class, sitting down quietly. She placed her bag on the table and removed her notes.

"Now, let's begin….."

Havana pressed the power on button on her phone. The class had already taken two hours and there was already a notification for the other class which will be in thirty minutes from now, but the thirty minutes break should be for her powers test. It was something she hated, when was she ever going to have her free time after some choked up schedule like this.

"The class is finally over." Cherry muttered and Havana sighed, immediately slamming her book against each other as she turned a bit. Her class was upstairs, so she could see everything that was happening downstairs. The school walls, however, were too high that she couldn't see the outside world. Or Maybe…..wait, the school was underground. This was an underground school.

*ROYALE ACADEMY.*

She gasped. She had come down through a secret tunnel leading to this place from the office above. And coming down had taken like….eternity. Meaning this school was below the ground, it wasn't using the normal network, so you couldn't communicate with the outside world and that's why, that why all these secret about Royale Academy was never known or found on the internet, she gasped again and again and again, as it slowly turned into a chuckle and then another hysterical laughter that made everyone in the class look at her.

"This is crazy." She muttered, licking her lips.

"Havana?" Mr Erickson called and she looked at him slowly and questioningly.

"We have to take your tests now." He said.

"Wait? Why are there tests taken?" She asked and he looked at her again.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"This school…" She stood up and folded her hands over her small b**bs.

"This school was built for something like this, wasn't it? Is there a reason? I'm sure no school would be underground in the first place and let the abnormal humans take control." She said.

"And who the abnormal humans?" Erickson chuckled.

"The supernaturals. Why should the normal humans fear them?" She shot and he smiled.

"I don't think you understand what's going on here, Havana. This…this place…this school is a different world from where you are coming from."

"Of course. My world don't accept humans with mutated genes as part of them."

"Exactly. And that's why this world accepts them and that's also the reason why the real humans would always be subject to them here." He said and Havana scoffed, at the same time, a murmur spread throughout the class.

"Are you going to come for your test now?" He asked and she smirked.

"I'm not one of you guys." She said and carried her school bag, leaving the class.

Someone followed her immediately and held her shoulder. She pushed him away with such force that he crashed into a wall. The both of them gasped with widened eyes.

"Didn't you just say you are not a supernatural?" He said and she blinked, before gasping again.

"Wait, was I the one who pushed you that hard. Oh gosh, my reflexes must be crazy, Davian." She scoffed and walked away and he blinked.

"Do you even know how many lines you have crossed today?" He smirked, following her.

"Do you know how many lines you are crossing by following me. You don't even know where I would take you to." She replied, walking faster.

"You are so arrogant and try to look so strong but you are still the same foolish human. You don't even know that this is the way to the school cafeteria." He said and scoffed, bumping into her as he passed her and walked away.

"Why did the school cafeteria have to be that way?" She muttered as she looked at his retreating figure. She sighed as she picked the school map from her bag side pocket.

"Aren't you going to have food?" Cherry appeared behind her. Havana gave her a short look before walking away.

"What's is wrong with you? We are the only friends that you can ever have here. Why are you acting so high and mighty?" Ellie blocked her path and Havana sighed, looking at her.

"Did I ever tell you I need friendship?" She asked.

"You'll later need help afterall." Cherry said, in her tiny, shaky voice and Havana scoffed.

"Need whose help? Yours?" She muttered as she bumped into Ellie and walked away.

Ellie sighed as she walked to Cherry and stood beside her.

"She has an aura. A dark aura that doesn't feel right." She said and Cherry blinked slowly.

"I wonder why she's so hostile to us. We are her roommates for crying out loud." She muttered.

"Not roommates, housemates." Ellie corrected

"You are her housemates?" Someone chuckled behind them and they turned. It was Davina and Jessica, the demons.

"Davina?" Cherry muttered in shock as her heart almost jumped into her mouth.

"So are you that little witch's housemates?" Jessica asked again.

"Don't call her a witch." Ellie fired.

"Look at this little brat correcting us, Davina." Jessica muttered as she placed her finger on Ellie pushing her back.

The word 'witch' was forbidden, not only for the normal humans, but even for the supernaturals, though, it was a witch who had founded the school, ROYALE ACADEMY.

"You are the little brat here. You…and your gang of supernaturals." Ellie spat and Jessica smiled, before landing a slap on her face.
