Chapter 30 - 29. Battle Against Goblins 5

But that was easier said than done, they had no idea how they could deal with that creature, even with Ivan saying that they should do the same as they were doing now.

As they thought about how to deal with the creature, their mounted subordinates slowly approached but before they got too far away, they and their mounts began to act strangely. Shaking his head, scratching his throat, holding his point, etc.

Ivan, with his supernaturally keen vision, can see black veins in his throat and in his eyes, green creatures, identical to those of the nobleman and his henchmen, who looked like they had already appeared years ago. but it had only been days.

"I think we're going to have some extra help after all." He said in a hopeful, even happy tone of voice.

But all the happiness was short-lived, as he soon realized that his subordinates might be showing the same evil as the nobleman, but the green monster was still standing without any changes.

*Thrum* *Boommm*

"Gggggggrraaaaaaahhhhhh"

That was until a bolt of lightning fell directly on top of him, a bolt of lightning coming from nowhere that sent some smaller bolts of lightning hitting the 4 goblins. But even after receiving a lightning bolt, the monster still didn't fall, but it certainly affected him a lot, and Ivan was sure that the creature he was riding had one of its eyes blinded.

"They're going to keep their mouths open like this for how long. Let's go!" Hannah said, heading towards one of the goblins still stunned by the blow, with her sword raised aiming for the war boar's head.

Soon Ivan sent 3 quick arrows at another and Matt shot two at the same time at the third, the fourth in turn was further away and neither advanced nor retreated. But he still received some support arrows from the last two archers in the towers, even though these were defended by the shield he carried, the same could not be said of the green monster that received some arrows in its skin.

It has only been a few minutes since this group of goblins appeared and sent everyone into a spiral of despair, but seconds later by just one intervention, they were taken out of that spiral and once again have hope of winning without losing anyone else.

***********

So far nothing too bad, but I can't lower it wait, there are 20 seconds left before I can launch another lightning bolt. Until then, I'll help with the other goblins that were still messing around.

As expected from a magical ability, with fixed damage, it did good damage to the imp/goblin, from 120 it dropped to 95 with one hit. Another cool but well-known part of lightning skills is the paralysis effect and residual damage in the area, a positive point this also dealt damage to the 4 closest goblins, a negative point this also ended up killing the closest injured NPCs. Preferably, I would have liked to have saved them, but in this case I don't think I can complain too much.

There's still a long way to go for things to be comfortable, but I trust that the NPCs, or rather believers and believers in general, will be able to fix it with some time and a flash of lightning here and there to help.

Look, it's only been a little more than 5 seconds and they've almost killed one of the 4 elite goblins. Of course, the boar he was riding and the other goblins nearby were still under the effect of lightning paralysis and now that advantage is gone, but we can still consider one less, right.

[Your devotee, Hannah, eliminated a mounted goblin leader (rare). You received:

•goblin ear x2

•goblin fang x10

• Poorly maintained iron short sword

•iron breastplate

•boar meat x5

•boar leather x1

•boar tusk x2

You got:

+300 Karma

+100 Divine Power]

And there it was, one down, 3 to go (technically 6 counting the mounts it seems) and a big one that was annoying and difficult to take down. Oh, a brave lacero helped in the fight by throwing javelins and his own spear, very good. But obviously, whenever something good happens, there is also something bad to balance it out.

-4 HP from Matt

-2....]

That goblin over there is a problem, he is not only able to defend himself from the archers' arrows but also cause good damage to my believers, the goblin in question is the fourth one, the furthest away. And how is he managing to deal damage and defend at the same time?

Because as in almost every game, he is the only one who attacks from a distance. This is the kind of careless care that I should avoid doing but I ended up doing it, no goblin so far has shown any sign of using ranged weapons so I thought they wouldn't use them in general in the game, they would just be throwing rocks, but apparently not.

....huh.

Goblina, it's a female goblin, do they have a gender difference? Because they din't show it with the symbol like in humans. Is goblina different species from normal goblins?... No, the other 3 also show (one showed in this case) them as goblins and not goblina.... I'll think about that after this fight is over.

There are still a few seconds before the next lightning strike and until they are defending well against the attacks, only a few of the goblin's stones (I really don't know if I'll be able to say this many times even in my head) are managing to hit them and the big guy who came back to the fight.... and he's angrier than I thought he would be.

But considering that the game uses AIs and if this AI kept getting shut down until now, it wouldn't be so strange for it to get "irritated", right? At least that's what I think.

But at least now there aren't many lanceros around and as soon as the big guy falls and attacks, they throw javelins and shoot arrows to get in his way, which seems to make him angrier. But these goblins are smart as soon as the spearmen further back open formation to throw the javelins, she takes advantage and throws several stones at them while the boar attacks either Matt or Hannah.

The coordination of these 4 is the best of any goblin, and they are still separating themselves from my defense forces and making things easier for them. This will also reduce the effectiveness of my lightning bolts (there are still 7 seconds until the next one). Well then, let's reduce this coordination with some punishments, shall we?

... I looked like a cruel sadist with that, didn't I?

Even though I like it and do some unnecessary things, it's still a game, right?
