Chapter 109: Venerable Feng
Southern Region of Central Province. Tianxing Mountain Range.
Looking at the familiar lush mountains ahead, Yao Lao's voice sounded in Xiao Tian's ear, "The Falling Star Pavilion is here, located in a space formed by a natural array. Without the means to enter, even a Dou Zun can't get in."
"It's a good place," Xiao Tian said with a smile.
Under Yao Lao's guidance, Xiao Tian stopped at a specific spot in the mountains. It was a dense forest, with no buildings or peaks in sight, just an ordinary sea of trees.
"This is the token of the Falling Star Pavilion. Using it will open the array," Yao Lao said, handing an ancient jade to Xiao Tian.
As Xiao Tian injected his Dou Qi into the jade, a strange starlight spread out from it. As the light expanded, the void in front of him began to distort and formed a spatial gate.
Xiao Tian stepped through the gate, and the forest turned into a towering mountain. On the mountain, there were buildings, and the sounds of sparring could be faintly heard.
Sensing someone's entry, ten large white cranes flew out from the distant peaks, carrying several figures on their backs. Leading them was a girl in a blue dress with large, bright eyes that made her look particularly cute. Her face still carried a hint of youthful innocence.
However, seeing Xiao Tian, a stranger, her eyes narrowed with suspicion, and she asked warily, "Who are you? How did you get into the Falling Star Pavilion?"
Xiao Tian took out the ancient jade and shouted, "I am the disciple of Venerable Yao. Please inform Venerable Feng."
"What? Venerable Yao's disciple?" The girl's expression changed immediately.
The man in front of her was the disciple of the Pavilion Master, Venerable Yao, who had never shown himself in the Falling Star Pavilion.
"Buzz!"
At that moment, a cyan tornado appeared out of thin air, and in the blink of an eye, it turned into an elderly man with long hair and a green robe.
The old man stared at Xiao Tian and asked in a hoarse voice, "Where is he now?"
"It's been a long time, Feng!" A hoarse voice echoed, and Yao Lao's ethereal figure appeared in the air.
Seeing Yao Lao, Venerable Feng was first stunned, then overjoyed, "Old friend, you've been hard to find!"
Yao Lao sighed, "I never thought I would see you again."
Venerable Feng asked, "Back then..."
Yao Lao fell silent for a moment, then said regretfully, "Back then, Han Feng conspired with the Hall of Souls against me. I nearly died."
"That beast!" Venerable Feng's face darkened, and a murderous aura burst forth, lowering the temperature of the surrounding air.
Yao Lao continued, "It's all in the past now. Han Feng is dead."
"Just killing him isn't enough," Venerable Feng sighed, then looked at Xiao Tian in surprise, "Is this your new disciple? At such a young age, he's already close to a three-star Dou Zong. What incredible talent!"
"Wow!" Upon hearing this, Mu Qingluan and the others were shocked.
Xiao Tian, who appeared so young, was already a two-star Dou Zong!
"Ha ha!" Yao Lao stroked his beard with pride, "He's not only talented in cultivation but also a seventh-grade alchemist."
"What?" Venerable Feng looked at Xiao Tian in disbelief, "Where did you find such a prodigy?"
"Unbelievable!" Mu Qingluan and the others felt utterly defeated, as if their years of effort had been in vain.
...
In a stone chamber.
Only Venerable Feng, Yao Lao, and Xiao Tian were present.
Xiao Tian said to Venerable Feng, "Venerable Feng, I'm here to help revive my master!"
"Can he really be revived?" Venerable Feng asked excitedly.
"According to the resurrection method recorded in the Flame Mantra, it requires three different flames and a body that can contain a soul," Xiao Tian explained. "We already have the three different flames, and to create the body, we need the Bone Merging Blood Pill, seventh-tier magical beast blood, and the body of a Dou Zong."
"I can provide the seventh-tier magical beast blood and the Dou Zong body, but I can't make the Bone Merging Blood Pill," Venerable Feng said solemnly.
Xiao Tian replied, "We should plan this carefully since it's our first time reviving someone. I intend to first create a body for another senior."
"Another senior?" Venerable Feng was puzzled.
"Senior Tian Huo," Yao Tian said, as the ethereal figure of Tian Huo Zun-zhe appeared in the stone chamber.
"I am Tian Huo, greetings, Venerable Feng," he said.
Xiao Tian explained, "Senior Tian Huo met with a tragic fate and now only his soul remains."
"Greetings, Venerable Tian Huo," Venerable Feng nodded.
Xiao Tian continued, "For the seventh-tier magical beast blood, I plan to use the Scorpion Dragon Beast from the Fallen God Ravine. It's a fierce beast with the strength of an eight-star Dou Zong, very suitable!"
Killing a seventh-tier magical beast was necessary, and the Scorpion Dragon Beast was ideal, as its magic core was also needed to condense the Poison Pill.
"Alright, we'll kill the Scorpion Dragon Beast!" Venerable Feng agreed.
"As for the Dou Zong body, I have someone in mind," Xiao Tian said. His target was the Earth Demon Old Ghost, a villain who had caused much harm.
Once they had finalized the plan, Venerable Feng went to arrange matters in the Falling Star Pavilion.
Then they traveled via a spatial gate to a city with a spatial wormhole and used it to reach the Central Region.
The Central Region of Central Province, also known as the Pill Region because of the presence of the Pill Tower, was the most prosperous area. The Fallen God Ravine was located in the northern part of the Pill Region, a treacherous place with countless chasms and poisonous fog.
Xiao Tian and Venerable Feng descended into one of the chasms and began searching. Despite the poisonous fog, Xiao Tian's strong soul power made the search easy.
After some time, a large white stone fortress appeared in Xiao Tian's mind. According to the original story, the Scorpion Dragon Beast lived in this fortress. It made sense for a shape-shifting beast to reside here.
"Who's there?" A furious roar came from the fortress as Xiao Tian's soul power probed it.
A whirlwind of sand and stones rose as a blood-red figure shot out of the fortress. A pair of ten-meter-long dragon wings extended from its back, and beneath it was a fifteen-meter-long blood-red scorpion tail.
