Chapter 39 - Time to play

"Where's my phone?" These were the first words to come out of Adriana's lips the moment Daven stepped in.

He squeezed his eyes, trying to remember where it was.

"It should be in the car." he said as he moved forward with tray.

"You need to eat something." he said, resting the bowl of soup next to her.

"No. I need to go home." She pouted.

"Right after the doctor discharges you," Daven said.

"Tell him to discharge me now. I'm sick of this place." her brows furrowed.

Daven took a deep sigh.

"You need proper care…"

"…I'm pretty sure I can get that at home. I can get a private nurse or something." She pulled Daven's arm lightly, making him face her.

"Please Daven. I hate the way this place smells." Her shoulders sunk as she spoke.

Daven let out a deep sigh. He had come to a realization that his biggest weakness is the way she says his name.

He hates to admit it but it's the fact.
