"That's bullshit!" I stood up.
"Bullshit?" Chris was fuming.
"My daughter was kidnapped because I worked for you! I helped her free you! Your brother would have had you behind bars."
I turned to face Adriana. She sat up, my eyes glued to Chris as she stared at him in anger.
"You could have just shut your stupid mouth! I told you I would fix this!"
"Adriana, Is this true?" I moved closer to her and grabbed her arm.
"Tell me! Is Chris saying the truth?" She looked at, gave me a sarcastic smile, then said,
"Yes! It's true! Now let me go, I have things to attend to."
She stood up and walked to chris.
"Chris, we will start working on a plan. I promise, your daughter would be back soon." She said, then made an attempt to leave the room.
"Wait, Adriana," I held her hands.
"I'll help," I said.
"NO THANK YOU!" She scoffed, then pulled away from me.
