A smile crept on my face.
This crazy plan of mine was surprisingly working.
"OKAY, I'LL MEET YOU GUYS IN TEN MINUTES." I replied to Kent's message.
"What's going on?" Mom had a very confused expression. I had just gone from being moody and sulking to having a smile on my face.
"I need to go," I said, pushing the tray off me, and picking my phone up. I jumped out of bed.
"Baby, where are you going?" Mom called out holding my hands.
I moved closer to her and kissed her forehead.
"I need to go and prove my innocence," I said.
I scavenged through my wardrobe, looking for something to put on.
"That's good, but at least eat something." Mom whined.
"I'll be back soon. Then, I'll have an appetite." I said and without waiting for another word from her I rushed downstairs.
I parked my car right in front of the building where Kent lived.
Taking the woody stairs, I marched onwards to his 3 bedroom apartment.
