"I'm sorry. What did you say?" Nico held his ear as a loud buzzing sound made him unable to hear the words of the fairy. But, before the fairy could have spoken again Valac interrupted her.
"She said only one secret is enough. But, only one of the two people can go inside. Will you stay back and take care of the silver fox?"
The fairy took Valac's hint as she nodded. "Yes, only one of you can enter. But, don't worry, new guy. My friends and I will offer you the best hospitality. One of us will lead Valac to Moonlit Cavern."
As Valac watched Nico's face morph from excitement to thinly veiled terror, he bit back a grin.
He gently placed the silver fox in Nico's arms. The silver fox settled comfortably in Nico's arms, seemingly oblivious to the fairies' cheeky grins and dancing lights around them.
"Omg! It's so cute."
