"Open the door William you'll hurt yourself!!".
Pages flew around me as I complete the spell, a spell that would end my suffering, a spell that might bring back my family, no, a spell that could help me end my family.
Tears wanted to fall but I forced it to stop because it might affect the spell. Holding an golden orb, I continued the spell with more determination.
More pages flew from books and circled around me.
"What's happening?", a man said. I frowned, the man was one of the guards assigned to watch over me.
I forced the spell to speed up. Finally, all the pages flew into the orb. I finished the spell by absorbing the orb and fainted.
The door blasted open and guards ran to my side.
"We need to tell the Queen he attempted to escape".
"But if we do we as guards will be punished". Then my consciousness slipped away.
I found myself in my room. My room isn't even a room, moss was on the walls, it was extremely small, the bathroom wasn't hygienic, not to talk about my door was that of a cell's own.
"System", I called out. A holographic I image appeared in my front.

I didn't know how to feel. The spell was to trick the system to upgrade my stats but it seemed it didn't work.
I stood up and got myself dressed. I looked at the mirror, I was a tall for my age, I had blue hair, dark blue eyes and wore a black cloak.
"Hey I want to get out now", I shouted at two guards who guarded the door. They opened the door, but as soon as I stepped out a guard kicked me. "Next time you try to escape I'll do worse"
I ignored him and walked down stairs. I was in a large circular tower connected to a large building. The building was where alchemists, blacksmiths, healers, warriors and mages live. The circular tower was made to house me.
My family is actually royalty, they had extreme talent and strength that surpassed others. I had many brothers who were proven to be the rightful heir of the throne.
When I was born they thought I had extreme talent too but when I awakened my system they discovered that my talent in all fields were poor.
They regarded me as an anomaly in the family and treated me with an iron fist and made me live with the Rodus( The Rodus are the mages, healers, warriors, blacksmiths and alchemists that help in battles and gathering resources), hoping I might awaken some inner talent.
"Hi William", a man said, snapping me out of my thoughts. He was very muscular with his bulging muscles and veins, and battle scars. He was obviously a warrior and the head at that. He's very strict and direct but always display kindness and humor to me.
Most of the Roduses loved me. The main reason was because none of them had a family because they were to busy well until I came and they treated me like I was theirs.
"Good morning Sir Lushid", I said, trying to not sound depressed. "What's wrong",he said as he pulled me to a seat and offered me sandwich and orange juice. "Aren't you going to eat anything", I said because these are offered to only one person but mine normally arrives late
We were in the cafeteria. The seats were arranged as three seats per table. "Nah don't worry I'm a soldier so skipping breakfast isn't that much of a big deal but you're avoiding my question"
"Last night I entered the forbidden library and made a spell to increase my talent but failed".
"I know how it feels. Wait. You casted a spell but you're mana is extremely low and you're body can't handle-"
"I took a bunch of mana crystals and stole the Rediment
Orb and absorbed it in the process of casting the spell".
Some tears spilled from my eyes, I'm just nine years old and afraid of disappointing the Roduses in fear of losing their love
The Rediment orb is a powerful item that can help cast high level spells. The kingdom only have one which I used.
"But I don't think I completely failed in less than 2hrs my system will develop some kind of consciousness"
"We'll discuss this during warrior class", Lushid said with a serious look.
I went off to the library to study.
