Once she had finished explaining her mysterious survival Joce made a point of looking between Monica and Gordon. Finally letting her attention rest on Monica Joce looked content to let Monica explain what was going on.
Evidently if they did have a way of communicating Monica hadn't had time to explain everything or this was some kind of act. For the life of him Gordon couldn't figure out why they wouldn't be able to chat with each other through some kind of messenger service if not a dedicated transmission device or a full fledged cultivation technique. Crossing his arms Gordon took a step back and waited to see how Monica was going to play this situation.
With an eye roll and a sigh, Monica gushed moving to grasp Gordon's arm and hold herself up against him.
"Oh, you wouldn't believe it, but sharing a life and death experience really made it possible for Gordon and I to bond!"
