Having hoped that Portensa would hatch by the time he had his mind right, Gordon was a little disappointed to realize that while he was ready Portensa just hadn't cracked out of her evolution egg yet.
Sighing Gordon chopped up some vegetables. Evidently Joce had bought a few groceries at some point. She was curled up on the big bed again. There was no telling if she was really sleeping or if she was virtually inhabiting another wet suit on another world. Who knows how many wet suits she had bought and could switch between. Most likely her consciousness was back on her home planet or down on Oros with Angelica.
Putting thoughts of Joce aside Gordon went back to cooking up a stir fry. Making a big batch his intention was to leave some for Joce, but for easy pickings if he wanted to jump out of the capsule later.
'I might as well allocate my 15 free points to will while I am cooking. There is no reason not to at this point.'
