Jessica pursed her lips eventually and then firmed them into a hard line.
"Basically, the Philos clan gives each one of their disciples the opportunity to recruit their own support team. Most disciples choose to take the default offerings and services of the clan. But we aren't going to do that."
Very seriously Jessica looked Gordon straight in the eye.
"Okay..."
This was all news to Gordon he was a little taken back. Jessica was taking this very seriously.
"And, I am going to choose your support staff as well. You can make a few suggestions, but the final choice will be mine."
Jessica said very carefully. Her voice was neither angry nor overly kind. It was just the way it was going to be.
"No, problem. Go ahead."
If Gordon had a problem with anything that Jessica wanted it was far too late. At this point he was just going to do whatever she wanted no questions asked. Yes, he was that much of a push over.
