A man in an expensive royal blue tuxedo was passing at that moment and the larger part of her vomit spilled on his tuxedo.
His dark eyes stared at her for a few seconds, the corners of his lips curling up in irritation before he hastily began walking out of the house.
When he got outside, there was an Audi Rs7 parked outside with a man in a black suit waiting in front of it.
When the man saw the vomit on his body, his eyes bulged in shock and he rushed towards him.
"Are you okay, sir?"
The man said nothing and just continued walking towards the car.
His assistant hurried back to the car as well and held the car's door open for him to get in.
As soon as he was in, he said calmly, "Drive back to the office. I need to have a change of clothes and don't ever accept an invitation from a low class family like this again."
"Forgive me, sir. I imagined she might be here. I won't make such a lousy mistake again." His assistant got into the car and said solemnly.
Then he kickstarted the car and drove off.
Inside, Bryan staggered backward and shrieked painfully when of he small the small vomit that had landed on the back of his hand.
He held the hand with the other and panicked, "Wh-what is this? So-someone help me! Someone please help!"
It was at this moment that a man of average height with a lanky build clad in a gray tuxedo sauntered forward.
"Good evening, Mr. Baker. I'm a traditional doctor and I'm here to help you."
Bryan turned to him and grabbed him by the shoulder as he wheezed, "She threw up on me. Will I die? Will I be as fat as her? Please tell me I won't be as fat as her. I won't be able to live with myself. Don't be quiet. Talk to me!"
The doctor took out a handkerchief from his pocket and passed it to Bryan. "No, you won't, Mr. Baker. It's just vomit, it won't harm you in anyway."
"Is that so? I'm so relieved!" Bryan exhaled heavily, taking the handkerchief and wiping off the stain on his hands.
For a minute, Bryan's dramatic actions made everyone forget he wasn't the one who had it worse.
Laura was still standing right in front of Kelsie with her entire body dripping in vomit.
She was in so much shock that she couldn't bring herself to come back to reality talk more of reacting and moving her body.
Bryan's shriek was so loud, Jerry Sutton and Deborah Thompson who weren't far off, heard it and hurried towards his direction.
"What is happening here?" Jerry Sutton asked on getting there.
"Mr. Baker, what happened to you? I heard you shouting a while ago." Deborah Thompson glanced at Bryan and asked worriedly.
She suddenly gasped when her eyes settled on Laura and she quickly rushed to her.
"My darling, why are you looking like this? What happened to you?"
Laura instantly burst into tears and pointed a finger at Kelsie.
"I was only trying to be of help to her, but she threw up on me instead."
"What? You threw up on your sister?" Deborah instantly turned and angrily lashed out at Kelsie.
Laura sniffled and continued, "Her vonit also touched Bryan's hands which was why he screamed."
She stopped sniffling and stared at Kelsie with red eyes and sighed pretentiously, "If you didn't want my help, why don't you just say it to my face instead of throwing up on me?"
Jerry immediately stepped forward when he heard Bryan's name, pointed a finger at Kelsie and sneered, "How could you throw up on your sister and your fiancé. Apologize to them right now!"
The people holding Kelsie had let go of her in fear that she'd throw up on them as well.
The outer corners of Kelsie's eyes slightly angled downward.
She raised her eyes to look at them and Laura clenched her fist tightly recalling why she didn't like it when Kelsie looked at her.
Kelsie had no vitality in her eyes and she had downcast eyes with drooping eyelids. With just a glance from her, everyone could all see how disinterested she looked.
Despite how she had everyone in the room fuming in rage, she was so nonchalant like it was none of her business.
Jerry's body trembled in rage seeing how quiet she was and he yelled at her even louder.
"I'm talking to you, how dare you ignore me? You've always been insolent and disrespectful!"
While everyone thought she was merely being insolent and disrespectful, Kelsie was still feeling extremely sleepy that it was taking everything in her not to find somewhere to lay down and nap.
Bryan placed a hand on his waist and fumed seeing how slow-witted she was.
"D-do I really need to marry someone like this? She literally has no shame. A person who looks like her should be locked up somewhere and not allowed to leave the place for anything!"
Jerry hurriedly apologized to him. "I apologize on her behalf, Mr. Baker. I didn't teach her well. I'll make sure she learns everything before you two get married."
Bryan huffed and pointed at Laura with a proud look on his face.
"What is there to teach? Laura here is her sister and despite being the younger one, she has already learnt everything there is to learn as a lady."
"Furthermore, she listens to whatever I say and try her best to please Emma. She's the ideal wife for for someone like me!"
Laura blushed and shyly tucked a lose strand of hair behind her right ear.
"Don't say things like that, Mr. Baker. We mustn't make people misunderstand and certainly not on your engagement ceremony to my sister."
Bryan couldn't be more pleased seeing how obedient and docile Laura was.
"See? Well mannnered and cultured. Knows the right thing to say, when to say it and how to say it. But this fatso right here only has her enormous body size to show for it!"
After watching Kelsie's every move carefully, the doctor who had been quiet the whole time, suddenly stepped forward.
"Calm down, Mr. Baker. Getting a high blood pressure on the day of your engagement is said to be a bad omen."
"And congratulations to you too!"
Bryan was puzzled.
Laura was puzzled.
Jerry and Deborah were puzzled.
"Congratulations? For what?" Bryan grinned
The doctor flashed the extremely confused Bryan a knowing smile, confusing him even further.
"Not at all, Mr. Baker. You and Ms. Sutton here seem to be doing a lot better behind closed doors."
Bryan was even more confused. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Seeing that Bryan suddenly looked offended, the doctor presumed he had gone aboard too much and quickly apologized.
"My apologies, Mr. Baker. I didn't mean to say something so sensitive in front of so many people."
Bryan's expression went from that of confusion to that of annoyance.
"Hey, I won't ask you again. What are you going on about? Congratulations, closed door, sensitive? What nonsense are you saying?"
The doctor paused and watched Bryan's facial expression. Bryan didn't seem to be pretending.
Does that mean he didn't know about his fiancée's condition?
The doctor quickly shook his head at the thought. That was impossible.
He glanced at the guests staring at him with curious eyes, eager to hear what he had to say then turned his attention back to Bryan and exhaled reluctantly.
"Are you sure it's something you want me to say in front of so many people, Mr. Baker? I believe it's quite a sensitive issue."
Bryan strutted towards him and gently patted him on the shoulder.
"I have nothing to hide. I've never impregnated any of my girlfriends before and I'm not impotent."
"That, I'm very sure of. And besides the two I just mentioned, I'm not sensitive about anything else. So stop messing around and say what you want to say already!"
"If you say so, Mr. Baker." The doctor nodded.
Bryan tried to smoothen the rumpled part of the doctor's cloth which he had crumpled up without knowing before retrieving his hand.
The doctor cleared his throat noisily and stared right at Kelsie with a small smile.
"Ms. Sutton is pregnant. Judging from how big her stomach is and the change I've noticed, she should be in her third month of pregnancy already."
"What?" Bryan and the guests blurted out in surprise.
Laura's eyes widened in shock.
Jerry and Deborah's mouths almost dropped to the floor.
Kelsie, who was almost in dreamland again, forcefully pried her eyelids open to look at the doctor.
