"Sir! I found her! She rented an apartment in Christ Church and she was…" Crap, Andre didn't want to say where she found Maddy.
Philip looked up and cocked his head to one side. "Where did you find her?"
"Working in a bar."
"She was dancing? With my baby in her belly? Bring the car NOW!"
Within a few minutes, Andre was driving to Christ Church. She pulled up to the bar and helped Philip inside.
Philip was gripping the chair handles so hard; Andre second guessed her decision.
"Sir, you need to calm down, if you scare her, she will run again, she may leave the island next time."
Philip nodded and let go of the handles. As they got inside, Philip's heart hurt him. There was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, dancing for a room full of men. He didn't go to her. He got hard just watching and groaned inwardly. He didn't have an issue with her dancing, that's how he met her, but she was carrying precious cargo. He was furious.
Just then, one of the men grabbed her ass and she visibly flinched and moved away from him. The man did not give up.
"Come here sexy, let me slap that ass for you."
"Sorry buddy, we have a no touch policy." Maddy said firmly but respectfully. The man didn't care, and he let her know.
"Look bitch, I paid to come in here and I am gonna touch you so just shut up and let me get my money's worth." The man licked his lips and kissed at Maddy.
Philip growled. "Andre" "Sir."
Andre left Philip and walked over to the man.
"Sir, if you know what's good for you, leave the lady alone." "Who the fuck are you to tell me leave her alone?"
"Try to touch her again, please." Andre warned.
The man reached out his hand to a now stunned Maddy and all could be heard was a loud yelp as his fingers cracked under Andre's hand.
Maddison paused her routine and looked around. She knew as long as Andre was here, Philip had found her.
She quickly left the stage but when she got to her changing room, she didn't think he would be waiting for her.
"Maddy, before I leave here, I need to ask you a few questions. If you don't want to be with me, I will have to abide by your decision but answer me first." Maddy nodded slowly.
"Are you pregnant?" "Yes."
"Is the baby mine?" As the words left his mouth, Maddy started to cry.
"Maddy, don't cry, just answer me. Did you cheat on me? That's why you left?" "I would never cheat on you Philip, this baby was created by you and I. If you want a DNA test to make sure, feel free when the time is right."
"Then why did you leave me? I thought we were doing fine?"
"I over-heard you and Luke talking. You said you didn't want a child." Philip gasped. This woman.
"I can't be with you knowing you don't want a baby with me. Do you have any idea how that hurts?"
"So, the woman I love decided that she heard something and instead of confronting me, making me face you to find out the truth, you left?"
"What is the truth Philip? The first time we made love I expressed my fear of getting pregnant and you told me, we would get married and raise our child together but you confide in Luke that you weren't sure you wanted a child with me." "Oh Maddy, yes I did tell him that but if you had stayed or came in you would heard me say that a child with you would be the best thing that ever happened to me. Of course, I have doubts, but they are about ME and my ability to keep you by my side, don't you get that? I am in a wheelchair! There are things I cannot do. You on the other hand are limitless. I would love our child and because he or she came from you, I would love you more than I ever have. A child would bind us together forever, but you didn't TRUST ME! You said you loved me Maddison, don't I have feelings?" Maddy gasped and sunk into the nearest chair. "I'm sorry Philip." "So am I, it seems that I am not the man you need after all.
We agreed we would talk things out but you left me." "What do you mean by that?" Maddy was fearful.
"You left ME Maddy; you didn't give me the chance to offer a reason for what I said. That tells me you don't trust me; I can't be with a woman who has no trust or faith in me. I'm sorry." Philip turned to leave.
Maddy watched as he left. It was hard when she left him but now, she knew how he felt, she still wanted him.
"Please don't go Philip, I said I was sorry. I misunderstood what you said." "You would rather come to a bar to dance with my baby in your belly, than tell the man you claim to love, that he said something you didn't like. What
if someone attacked you, tried to rape you on your way home? FUCK! I am going home. You need to think about what you want Maddy. Either you want me and are willing to work shit out when it happens, or we simply be parents to our child and forget being in a relationship. I want you to come home Maddy, but you need to believe that is where you belong, by my side. You choose." Philip wheeled himself out and left the bar. Andre was waiting at the car and when she saw Philip come out alone, she frowned.
"Sir? She isn't coming?"
"I gave her a choice, I for one am going home."
