Maddy was sad. She misjudged him and the situation. Now, she was hurting even more. She left work soon after Philip left the bar and headed home to her apartment. It had been a few weeks since she left him. She missed him so much and she knew she was wrong but would he still want her? She had to find out.
Maddy rubbed her belly as she ate a snicker chocolate bar and drank some juice.
"Oh, my mini-Philip, your parents need help, will you help us baby? Everything will be okay; mommy will fix this."
Maddy got up, took a shower and got dressed. She opened her travel bag and pulled out a Green sexy Boho summer knee length dress. It fitted her like a dream. She put on a pair of canvas shoes, grabbed her bag and headed through the door.
She pulled up to Dalton Corp with serious butterflies in her belly. She was scared he would reject her. "Now or never Maddy."
She got out of her SUV and headed to reception.
"Maddy! You're back! Mr. Kilian is in a meeting but I'm sure he will see you, go right in." Kira's voice was spritely and welcoming.
"Thanks love." As she approached Philip's office door, she heard shouting. "I don't fucking CARE Luke." Philip barked.
"That woman loves you, go after her!"
"She doesn't want me, she left, and she hasn't come back to me. I'm not good enough for her it seems and clearly not good enough to be the father of her child. How do I deal with that?"
"You tell me to my face." Maddy said as she pushed the office door.
"That is my cue." Luke said as he kissed Maddy on her cheek and left, locking the door behind him.
Maddy smiled at Luke as he left and went to sit on the sofa. "So Philip, I'm here, what's next?" Maddy asked softly.
"You tell me, you were the one who stayed away." "Do you still love me?"
"I haven't stopped. Do you still love me?" Philip asked. "Yes, I do."
"Then why haven't you come back to me?"
"I lost my confidence Philip. Yes, I misunderstood what you said to Luke but my heart hurt when I thought you didn't want to have a child with me. You have made me feel like a woman from the night we met, you have respected me always. I was hurting and then I realized I hurt you in the process."
Philip sighed.
"Come here Maddison."
Maddy got up and went to her favorite place in the whole world, Philip's arms. "Do you want to come back home?" "More than anything."
"Good. Your job is waiting for you. I delegated out your responsibilities while you were gone. Take another week to refamiliarize yourself with the projects and we will be fine."
"Okay, thank you."
All of a sudden Maddy felt it and she blushed.
"That's what you do to me Maddy." He reached up and held her face in his hands and kissed her hard.
Maddy pulled away and looked into his eyes.
"Take me home Philip." "Now?"
"Or we can go to the lounge. I need you."
Philip didn't wait, he wheeled his chair into the lounge and Maddy quickly got all her clothes off. Within minutes Philip was inside her, she wanted to scream out but she remembered they were at work.
"I love you so much Maddy, don't leave me again." Philip said as he plunged into her. She wrapped her legs around his back and moaned.
"I won't, I promise and besides, can't have my baby daddy all alone for the vultures to circle.
Philip stilled. He was going to be a father. He opened his eyes and stared down at Maddy. He felt his heart burst. He loved this woman and she was having his child, his.
Maddy was surprised when she felt liquid drip onto her face. "Oh Philip. My Philip. We are blessed."
"I'm going to be a daddy." Maddy laughed.
"Yes, my love you are going to be a daddy."
Her words gave Philip a surge of pride. He pushed into her, letting her know she and the baby belonged to him and only him. When he climaxed, he felt his soul was at peace.
As their breathing calmed, Philip put his hand on Maddy's belly and kissed it. "Hello baby, I'm your daddy."
Maddy's heart burst in her chest and she felt that the world was right again.
