Cillian, unable to contain his excitement, leaned closer.
"Young Master, you really hit the jackpot with this Pyro Cub! But let me show you my Flycon's information, too."
He swiftly pulled out his own Datavice, swiping through the screens until he found Flycon's stats.
"Look! Here's Flycon!"

Cillian leaned closer to Kris, pointing at the Datavice. "Young Master, look at Flycon's information! It's impressive, right?"
Kris nodded, scanning the details. "Yeah, it's got some solid stats." His eyes landed on the Additional Notes section. He leaned in slightly, whispering, "Weaknesses: Water and Rock-type attacks…"
Cillian's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, how do you know that? are some of your memories back?"
Kris shook his head, looking nonchalant. "No, I just saw it on the Datavice."
"Huh? What?" Cillian exclaimed, glancing down at his own device. "Where did you read that? It's not on mine!"
Kris pointed to the Additional Notes section, a hint of confusion in his gaze. "It's right here."
Cillian squinted at his Datavice, confused. "But it's blank! Are you sure?"
Kris's expression shifted slightly, the realization hitting him. 'Maybe I'm the only one who can see the additional notes under the Data Beast information.'
Kris shrugged, maintaining his calm demeanor. "I must've been seeing things."
Cillian frowned, still perplexed but accepting the explanation. "Okay, maybe you need a bit more rest, Young Master."
Kris nodded, processing the information awhile ago. "So, since Pyro Cub is Rank 1 with Platinum potential, does that mean it can grow stronger than Flycon?"
Cillian's eyes lit up with excitement. "Exactly! The potential of a Data Beast determines how far it can evolve and grow. It's not just about current strength; it's about future possibilities."
Kris crosses his arms, then rubbed his chin, intrigued. "And what are the stages of potential?"
Cillian grinned, clearly thrilled to explain. "The stages go from Bronze, which is the most common, to Silver, Gold, and then Platinum. Those are the more typical ones, but above them, you've got Diamond, Mythic, and finally, Legend. Legend is the highest and practically unheard of. Beasts with Legend potential are unfathomable existence."
Kris blinked, letting the information sink in. "So, Pyro Cub, being Platinum, is really rare, huh?"
"Did that hit you just now!?" Cillian exclaimed. "Platinum potential means Pyro Cub has the ability to evolve into incredibly powerful forms. With the right training, it could reach heights that most trainers can only dream of. Flycon's Silver potential is good, but compared to Platinum? It's like comparing a river to the ocean."
Kris couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. 'So Pyro Cub really has the potential to be one of the strongest out there.' He clenched his fist, determination filling his gaze. 'Then we'll make sure it reaches that potential.'
Cillian grinned. "You seem to hold more questions, Young Master." He gestured for Kris to follow him.
As they moved through the room, Kris noticed his Pyro Cub creeping up on Cillian's Flycon playfully. The Flycon noticed The Pyro Cub's stalking, without giving the cub a chance it flew away at the corner of the room.
The cub's fiery tail flickered with excitement as it chased after Flycon, who darted through the air with agile grace, teasing it.
Their playful antics brought a lightness to the otherwise serious atmosphere.
As they walked, Cillian continued, "Let me take you to your office. There's still much to explain about Data Beasts and the Virals."
His tone shifted, darkening as he spoke the last word. "The Virals… they're not just a threat; they're a menace. I have my reasons for not mentioning them for awhile now."
Kris noted the intensity in Cillian's expression, the tension in his voice hinting at a deeper history between him and these chaotic entities.
They arrived at the office, which resembled a mini library.
Shelves lined the walls, each labeled meticulously with topics ranging from Data Beast studies to information on Virals. The air was thick with the scent of old books, and the atmosphere felt both studious and inviting.
In the center of the room stood a sleek computer with a wide monitor. Cillian approached it and said, "All your questions can be answered here. The archives are filled with resources about everything you need to know."
Kris glanced around, admiring the vast knowledge surrounding him.
"Thanks, Cillian. I appreciate it."
Cillian paused for a moment, his expression serious. "You should know that Data Beasts are not just random creatures, Young Master. They originated from a fusion of digital life and physical reality, brought forth by the Pulse—a mysterious phenomenon that shattered the barrier between the worlds. This event unleashed them from a game called Beast Kings, which once thrived on the internet 50 years ago."
He stepped closer to Kris, lowering his voice. "But the Virals… they're the byproduct of something far darker. They're the chaotic remnants of corrupted Data Beasts, born from malicious energy. Their emergence marked a turning point for humanity, as they began to wreak havoc, targeting both people and Data Beasts alike. Their goal is destruction, and they thrive on chaos."
Kris listened intently, the weight of Cillian's words settling heavily in the air. "I see," he replied, contemplating the implications of this information.
With a nod, Cillian stepped back. "I'll leave you to it, Young Master. Just call me if you need anything."
Kris watched him go, grateful for the guidance. He knew this was the first step toward understanding the complexities of the world he had entered.
Kris approached the sleek computer and powered it on, the screen lighting up to reveal a clutter of folders and files. He began to navigate through the digital landscape, curiosity piqued by the remnants of the old Kris's life.
As he sifted through the documents, he noticed a sticky note on the desktop with the title "My Goal." Intrigued, he clicked on it, and his brows furrowed in surprise as he read the list. The old Kris seemed like a normal teenager, filled with dreams and aspirations that felt almost relatable.
The goals were simple yet profound
"To marry a beautiful wife (Belle, preferably)
To give my parents three grandchildren
To be the best Data Trainer there ever was
To travel all over the world and scan all the best Data Beasts there are!
To be happy!"
A small smile crept onto Kris's face as he reflected on the ambitions of the boy he now inhabited. Despite the chaos of this new world, there was a certain innocence in those dreams that resonated within him.
Kris's gaze shifted to a framed picture of the old Kris with his parents on the desk, their smiles radiating warmth and joy. Emotions swelled within him as he whispered, "I will carry on your goals and make it happen. Thank you for giving me this life. I will cherish your family as if they were mine."
He closed his eyes, feeling the weight of his new reality. It was surreal to think that he had taken over this boy's life, one filled with hopes and dreams. He hoped that wherever the old Kris was, he would be watching over him, perhaps even guiding him.
As he snapped out of his emotional moment, Kris stood up, taking a deep breath to steady himself. His eyes wandered around the room until they landed on a book titled Genesis resting on one of the shelves. Curious, he pulled it from its place and opened it.
As he did, a window popped up in front of him, glowing softly.
"Welcome, host. You have awakened Genesis."
