Chapter 1 - Prologue

In an ancient hunter gear which happens to be his signature dress,Master Justice Lee sat in the dark Cave of Galmoria, meditating. He just fought one of the biggest battle of his life. His maind energy was damaged badly. He knew his body might not take the damage caused to it. He needed to sync the Flame and his soul. Only that way can he prevent the disaster that is coming!

The Master knew he had little time left so he hastened the process of the synchronization. Mateo is on his way to kill me! This thought kept popping in his head, disrupting his thinking. It was not easy to know that your brother would kill you anytime soon. All he needed to do has been done except the synchronization. All of his brother's spell book has been kept in a safe place...far from where he'd ever think.

The time arrived!

The synchronization was done!

He heard a loud thud behind him. It must be his brother.

•••

Mateo,Lee's brother, was just as special as his brother. They both discovered they're gifted with Maind energy which gift them powers. They both are the first set of people to ever get Hit. It all started with them. Mateo had the Terraka energy which gifts one with arcane magic and Justice Lee possessed the Nexoka energy that grants the enhancing of the natural human abilities, manipulation of things, including elemental powers. They both founded a group for people since this two energy seems to be spreading wide in the land. They trained people to become warriors and soon Lee and his brother conquered some Sea vikings that came to colonize their kingdom.

The kingdom's former glory was restored. The king offered Lee a position as his right hand, and of course,he accepted gladly. His brother felt cheated as nothing was offered to him and soon, jealousy grew. Even though Mateo's jealousy and anger could be justified since he and his brother went through the same thing to save the kingdom. Mateo's anger and jealousy heightened. He mobilized his own students and attacked the kingdom. The king was sent to the Palace basement for his safety and only two people knew about his whereabouts;Lee and The king himself. Mateo knew to be as powerful as his brother, he has to consume his brother's power.

Lee stood up and faced his brother,Mateo. Mateo was standing at the entrance of the cave. Lee smiled and Mateo spat on the floor as a form of disrespect.

"You know you're rude, right?" Lee said in a tone that doesn't match the tension that ruled the cave.

"Tell me that when you're dead!" Mateo snapped back.

"That's why you'll never win a fight. You look down on your opponent quicker than you should. And let me you inform you incase you don't know...you will never beat me in a thousand years!" Lee said as proud as he can.

The air crackled with tension as the two brothers faced off in the Cave of Galmoria. Mateo stood poised, his fingers weaving intricate pattern in the air. His eyes blazed with fierce jade-green light, channeling the magic that coursed through his vein.

Across from him,The Master of Hit,Justice Lee,sneered, his face illuminated by dancing flames that engulfed his fist. His hand sculpted from many years of wielding fire, and his eyes burned with an inner inferno.

The battle began.

Mateo unleashed a glimmering wave of silver energy, which Lee countered with a blast of fiery fury. The flames engulfed the magic but Mateo's spell adapted, transforming into a thousand glittering shards that pierced the inferno like crystal arrows.

Lee got pissed and retaliated with a flood of blazing orbs, each one exploding on impact. Matoe made a shield of iridescent energy that barely protected him from the assault because of the force of the attack was intense. With Lee's relentless barrage,Mateo was pushed backwards.

As Mateo stumbled,Lee seized the opening. With a battle cry,Lee unleashed a colossal firestorm on Mateo, its roar shaking the whole cave. Mateo raised his hand and the air around him rippled with magical force. A shimmering vortex materialized, drawing the flame into a swirling vortex. Mateo harnessed the fire's energy which was beyond him but he managed to feed it back to Lee. As a result of the unexpected backlash, the Master of Hit stumbled, his connection to the fire disrupted.

Seizing the advantage,Mateo launched a barrage of crystalline projectiles, each one imbued with the essence destruction. Lee's flames danced wildly, keeping pace with the magical onslaught.

The battle raged on. The two combatants exchanging blows that shook the whole cave and even scorched the sky outside.

The battle went on for another seventeen minutes. Lee was tired before he started the battle and he was the weakest he could be. Aside from the fact that he was hesitating to kill his brother, that was what kept the battle alive. I would have killed him a thousand times if I was in my best condition. Lee thought.

At once, with maximum speed,Lee moved to his brother and donated a heavy punch to his jaw. He knew his brother was a long range fighter,so if he could close the distance,it'll all end faster.

As he was being sent back by his brother's uppercut,Mateo grabbed Lee's shirt and smirked. He slapped Lee's chest and recited a silent incantation which paved way for other worldly energy to enter Lee's body. He knew poisoning Lee was the only thing that would give him a chance at winning.

Lee paused and stared for a moment before saying;"You didn't hesitate! You're ready to kill me,aren't you?"

"You're too soft. Do you think I'm like you?" Mateo said back to his brother, already feeling the air of victory.

"No! You're not like me...and You can never be like me! From this moment on,you're no longer my brother...so burn!" His last two word were said as loud as possible because they were filled with pain and regret.

Lee sat on a rock in the cave and watched as breeze came in to carry Mateo's ash. The poison was spreading fast. He needed to live on. He cursed himself never to rest. He laid down in peace as the poison chipped away his body leaving his soul...the lamp...the Flame.
