The Moment Our Eyes Met
In the kingdom of Eldrid, where the divide between the haves and have-nots is stark, Mabel, a resilient young woman, struggles to survive in Bridlesmark, the impoverished side of the kingdom. Her family struggles to make ends meet, and she'll do anything to help them escape poverty. Meanwhile, Prince Arinthal, living in luxury, seeks to unite the kingdom, but his efforts are met with indifference.
When Arinthal receives a note urging him to visit Bridlesmark, he goes on an unprepared mission, despite warnings. His encounter with Mabel at the market sparks intrigue, but it's not until she rescues him after an ambush that their fates become intertwined.
Mabel takes him to her home and tends to Arinthal's wounds. In exchange for her care, Arinthal promises to take her family to Velcan. However, his promise is a lie, and he has no intention of keeping his word.
As months turn into a year, Mabel's family's situation becomes dire, desperate to save her family. Mabel makes a heart-wrenching decision: she sells herself for money, along with her elder sister, Matilda.
When she gets to Velcan and sees Arinthal, her anger deepens when she realises he is the crown prince. Arinthal, however, feels guilty but believes he owes her no apology.
As they grow closer, their dislike turns into attraction. But can their love bridge the gap between their worlds?
