The next day, Momon and I went to the city of E-Rantel. Only this time, Momon isn't wearing his usual black armour. Instead, he's using a simple mithril chestplate with his two large greatswords strapped behind his back. If it weren't for the great swords and the Adamantite plate hanging on his neck, no one would give him a second thought.
I turned myself into my usual little girl form. I wore my usual white trench coat and held a white staff with blue crystal at the top, strapped behind my back is a large machete half my body size. Right now, I'm riding a giant hamster as we strode forth through the city of E-Rantel.
To Ainz, riding a giant hamster is humiliating, but to me…
"She's so cute!" I exclaimed, while burying my body deeper into Hamsuke's back.
"Milord, this one is distressed by the presence of this human child…"
Momon just waved his hand. "She's your responsibility for the day, Hamsuke," he explained. "You'll take care of her during our missions," he explained.
With that, the three of us went straight to the Adventurer's Guild. Momon parked Hamsuke near the entrance and I jumped right off him. "Are you ready for your first mission Lily?" he asked with my fake name.
"Of course! Just you wait Momo nii chan! I will surely be the greatest adventurer in the world!!" I exclaimed before running ahead of him and into the Guild. All eyes were on me as soon as I entered the guild. I froze on the spot and hugged my staff close nervously.
Just before I could turn around, a powerful hand pushed deeper into the room. "Now, now, Ms. Greatest Adventurer in the World, your first mission is getting your first plate," he told me.
As we walked through the guild, whispers and mutterings came from around us.
"Is that Momon? Without his armor?"
"Is that his sister?"
"Uwaa, she's so cute…"
"How old is she? Ten? Eleven?"
Soon, we made it in front of the clerk. "Excuse me, I would like to register a new adventurer," Momon said.
The clerk looked at the man in front of him closely. "You're Momon, aren't you?" she asked.
Momon smiled a little sheepishly. "Yes, I suppose it's my fault for never taking off my helmet," he said.
"That's because Momo nii chan is shy in front of other people," I exclaimed, making some adventurers chuckle in amusement. "He also acts all cold and powerful when Nabe nee is around because…"
"That's enough Lily," Momon said, though it didn't stop the rest of the guild to laugh at him. He looked back at the clerk and sighed a little. "As you can see, I wanted to register Lily here to the guild. She's a magic caster like her sister, though she's still young I can see her potential," he explained.
"Of course, Momon-sama!" the clerk happily handed out some forms for me to fill. "The entry fee is 5 silver and the literacy test is 5 copper," she explained.
Momon handed me the papers. "You can read, can't you?" he asked me.
I blinked owlishly after hearing that. "Eh? Read? I thought we're going to fight monsters!" I exclaimed in disbelief.
"So you can't read?"
"I-I…" I puffed my cheek before taking the papers out of his grip. I almost thought I couldn't read it, but then I remembered the knowledge I got from the souls in the cemetery and the skills include reading this town's language. "I can definitely read! I just do not want to waste my time with this thing!"
The receptionist giggled a little after hearing that. "She really is your sister, Momon-sama," the clerk said.
"What?"
"No, nothing," she said.
After a moment, I finally finished filling out the form. The receptionist looked over it for a moment before nodding. "Lily, was it?" she asked.
"That's right! And you better remember that name miss, because I…" I pointed at Momon who's just looking at me in amusement. "Will beat him someday!"
"I can't wait to see that happen," the receptionist said before handing me a copper plate. "There you go, now you can pick your first mission from the notice board on your right," she pointed at the notice board with all sorts of missions visible on it.
I walked towards the board and looked at the missions in front of me. Then, without looking at the requirement, I picked one of my favorite mission. I stood on my tip toes and tried to grab the mission paper.
A man nearby walked up near me and grabbed the mission. I almost felt dejected, but then, the man handed me the mission paper with a kind smile on his face. "Here you go, Lily was it?" he asked.
"Yeah, thank you!" I bowed at him a little before walking back towards Momon. "Momo nii chan! Here!"
Momon took a look at the mission in front of him before handing it to the receptionist.
"A path clean up mission to the kingdom," the receptionist said. She then looked at me with a mischievous look on her face. "I'm sorry Lily, but I'm afraid that this is a silver ranked quest, you can't take this mission," she said.
"Uwaa, no way…"
Momon chuckled a little after seeing my response. "Since you're just a copper plate, it's only fair if you team up with another adventurer party," he told me.
"I wanna team up with you," I whined.
"If you team up with me, you won't learn the importance of battle strategy and fighting as a group," he then looked at the rest of adventurers in the Guild. It seems like they've all been watching us for the last fifteen minutes. "Why don't you look around and ask if someone wants to team up with you."
"But…" I looked down for a moment. "I… I don't want to be a bother…"
Momon crouched down in front of me. He gently pat my head with a soft smile on his face. "Have faith in your ability Lily, you are strong enough to be silver plate," he then looked around for a moment and pointed at a silver plated adventurer party who's been observing us the longest.
I slowly walked towards the adventurer party. The leader of the group, a lean, tall looking guy wearing thick leather clothes, is looking at me in interest. "Ano…" I held up my mission scroll. "Do you… Do you want to go adventuring with me?"
The man resisted the urge to smile and took a look at the scroll. "Let me talk about this with my friends," he handed the scroll to the girl sitting in front of him.
It is a blonde haired girl wearing light leather clothes and a large bow strapped behind her back, she looked at the mission scroll. "Ho, a road clean up mission to the kingdom?" she smirked a little at me teasingly. "I don't mind, but you're a copper plate, no? What can you do to help us?"
"Oi, oi, Eliya san, she's just a kid," a man wearing a dark blue magician robe sitting beside her said.
"At the very least she should be able to use a fifth tier spell to join us," a red haired girl wearing light metal chestplate said with a teasing look on her face.
The leader bopped her head lightly. "You know that's impossible, Elma," he then gave me thumb up. "Sure, welcome to the party Lily," he then looked at Momon standing behind me. "If, it's alright with you, Momon sama."
Momon just waved his hand dismissively. "It's alright, I want to give her some real life experience. Roughen her up a little if you want, she's tougher than she looks," he said. "I'll be nearby with Hamsuke if anything comes up."
