Dave sat in his luxurious villa, his mind racing. The recent revelation that his sisters had been kidnapped left a gnawing ache in his chest. Anger, regret, and guilt warred within him. He was supposed to be their protector, someone they could rely on. Yet, while he was in the POD training, they had been taken.
"Bella," Dave called out, his voice cold and strained. "Hack into every single camera, database, and communication channel on Earth. Find them. I want to know where they are, who took them, and how to get them back."
There was a brief silence before Bella responded, her voice gentle yet serious. "I'm already on it, Dave. Searching through all available and hidden networks now."
A few moments later, she continued, "Dave, I have some news… and it's not good."
"Tell me," he demanded, clenching his fists. The skin on his knuckles stretched tight as the tension in his body grew.
"Your sisters… they were taken by Helios." Bella's voice was measured, but even she couldn't conceal the concern underneath.
The mere mention of Helios sent a surge of rage through Dave's veins. His jaw clenched so tightly it ached. "Helios…" he whispered, venom dripping from his tone. "Show me. Show me what happened."
Bella's reply was instant, and a screen projection appeared before Dave, displaying the footage she had found. He watched intently as the video played. His sisters, Emily and Sarah, were walking out of a café when a shadowed figure approached them. Their eyes widened in surprise, but before they could react, several masked men emerged from the shadows, surrounding them.
The screen showed the men grabbing his sisters and forcing them into a black van. The scene shifted to another angle, the van speeding away, and then — Helios appeared. He stood tall, his face twisted in a sadistic grin as he observed the capture from a distance. The look of satisfaction on his face as he watched the van disappear made Dave's blood boil.
"Play it again," Dave ordered. He needed to etch every detail of Helios's expression into his mind. Bella complied, and Dave watched the video over and over, his rage building with each repetition.
When the screen finally flickered off, his eyes were glowing with barely suppressed fury. "I'm going to kill him, Bella. I swear, I'll kill him in the most brutal way imaginable."
"There's more, Dave," Bella continued hesitantly. "I dug deeper and found out why Helios took your sisters. He's conducting experiments… on humans. He's trying to create new superhumans by using forced genetic modifications and excruciating testing methods."
The revelation hit him like a sledgehammer. His sisters were in the hands of a madman, subject to experiments that could destroy them. "Experiments? He's experimenting on people… on my family?" Dave growled, every word heavy with the promise of retribution.
"Yes. And based on the data I've found, Helios's base of operations is heavily guarded. But I managed to pinpoint its location," Bella informed him. A map of the world appeared, zooming in until it settled on a remote island shrouded in darkness and mist.
Dave's gaze was fixated on the screen, but his mind was elsewhere. Images of Emily and Sarah — scared, hurt, and alone — flashed before him. The anger he felt earlier was nothing compared to what surged through him now. It was no longer just about revenge. This was about saving his family. Helios had made the biggest mistake of his life.
"Time to go," Dave said simply, his voice steady. With a single thought, he activated his teleportation ability. The world around him blurred for a split second before solidifying again, and he found himself standing at the edge of Helios's base of operations.
It was a sprawling complex, surrounded by thick walls, security towers, and guards armed to the teeth. The air crackled with tension, and Dave could sense the malice emanating from the place. It reeked of fear and suffering.
But none of that mattered now.
The moment Dave materialized, an oppressive aura surged out of him, washing over the base like a tidal wave. The sheer force of it was overwhelming. Guards on patrol suddenly froze, their instincts screaming at them to flee. Some fell to their knees, gasping for breath as an indescribable fear gripped their hearts.
Inside the complex, scientists and soldiers alike looked around in confusion and dread. They didn't know who or what had arrived, but they knew — deep down — that something terrible was about to happen.
Dave took a deep breath, trying to control the storm of emotions raging within him. But it was no use. The rage, the pain, and the desperation all fused together, creating an aura so dark and heavy that it felt as if the air itself was being sucked out of the space around him.
Every step he took echoed with purpose. He was a man on a mission, and nothing — no force, no power, no army — would stand in his way. As he moved closer to the entrance, guards scrambled, raising their weapons in a futile attempt to confront him.
Dave didn't even give them a chance. With a swift movement, he teleported behind a cluster of guards, delivering a brutal kick that sent them flying into the thick concrete wall. The impact was so forceful that cracks spider-webbed across the surface, and the guards slumped to the ground, unconscious.
He didn't stop there. His body blurred with speed and precision, teleporting from one side of the entrance to the other, dispatching every guard in his path with merciless efficiency. The few who dared fire their weapons found their bullets redirected midair, their trajectories altered by an invisible force as Dave manipulated the matter around them.
And still, his aura grew.
Inside the base, a wave of panic spread like wildfire. Scientists abandoned their stations, soldiers fumbled with their weapons, and alarms blared throughout the facility. But no one could stop him.
Dave took another step forward, and the ground beneath him trembled. His power was reaching a boiling point, his emotions bleeding into his abilities. He could feel it — the fear, the chaos — all of it fueling his resolve.
"Helios!" Dave's voice boomed across the base, amplified by his power. "I'm coming for you."
He clenched his fists, the air around him shimmering with raw energy. And as he moved deeper into the complex, everyone knew — there would be no escape from his wrath.
The hunt had begun.
