Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Unveiling the Truth

Dave stood before Helios, his anger barely under control. The room was filled with tension as he prepared to use his Mind Control ability on the man who had hurt his sisters so cruelly. Without a word, he extended his hand, his eyes narrowing as he focused on Helios's mind.

"Let's see what you've been hiding," Dave muttered under his breath. He activated his Mind Control, delving deep into Helios's consciousness. The room around them blurred as Dave's vision shifted into a first-person perspective of Helios's memories.

Suddenly, Dave was no longer standing in the room with Helios—he was inside Helios's mind, experiencing everything from his point of view.

Helios strode down a dimly lit hallway, his heart filled with cold, calculated determination. His voice echoed in Dave's head, blending with the memory: "They're perfect specimens. Strong, resilient. Their genetic potential is extraordinary."

Dave saw it through Helios's eyes—the moment he captured Emily and Sarah. They were sedated, unconscious, as they were dragged into a sterile, underground lab. His heart wrenched as he saw the helpless forms of his sisters, mere tools for Helios's twisted experiments.

"Begin the procedures," Helios ordered, watching the scientists inject his sisters with unknown substances. Monitors beeped, and tubes connected them to strange machinery. They were poked, prodded, and altered, treated like lab rats in a terrifying experiment.

Dave's rage boiled as the memory continued. He saw flashes of what his sisters had endured: Sarah's body shaking violently as the chemicals coursed through her veins, Emily screaming in her mindless state. The cruel experiments had turned them into something barely human, and all for the sake of Helios's sick pursuit of power.

He felt Helios's twisted satisfaction as his voice echoed again in his mind: "Soon, they will be like me—enhanced, powerful, and under my control."

Dave's heart pounded as he pulled himself out of the memory. He had seen enough. His fists clenched, and the air around him seemed to grow heavier with the raw energy radiating off him. But he wasn't done yet.

"Show me everything," Dave commanded silently. His mind plunged back into Helios's thoughts, this time not limited to his sisters. He searched every corner of Helios's mind, extracting every piece of information the man had stored away.

He saw names—hundreds of them. Scientists, wealthy backers, corrupt officials—all of them involved in the dark underworld of human experimentation and superhuman enhancement. The scale of the operation was far greater than Dave had imagined. Helios wasn't working alone. He was part of a vast, hidden network that spanned the globe, with powerful people backing the gruesome experiments in exchange for personal gain and power.

Superhumans, much like Helios himself, were scattered all over the world—men and women who had been altered and enhanced, but who used their powers for unspeakable acts. These individuals controlled cities, governments, and even armies in some regions. They were untouchable, lurking in the shadows and pulling strings for their own selfish agendas.

As Dave sifted through Helios's mind, one thing became clear—this wasn't just about his sisters anymore. Helios and his kind had to be stopped, all of them. They were a plague on the world, and Dave wasn't going to rest until every last one of them was eradicated.

With all the information he needed, Dave pulled out of Helios's mind and glared at the man before him. Helios stared back, his eyes glazed, completely unaware of the invasion that had just occurred.

"You've caused enough pain," Dave growled, his voice dark. "You won't hurt anyone ever again."

Dave's Mind Control flared to life once more, this time with a darker purpose. He dove deep into Helios's mind, searching for his deepest fears, the things that terrified him most. He found them buried beneath layers of bravado—a horrifying loop of eternal pain, isolation, and fear of death.

With a cruel twist of his power, Dave trapped Helios in his worst nightmare, a torturous loop that would replay endlessly in his mind. Every moment from now on would be agony for Helios, as his own mind consumed him in terror and suffering.

"You'll stay here, in your own personal hell, until I decide what to do with you," Dave said coldly, watching as Helios's body tensed, his face contorting with invisible pain. Helios was trapped, powerless, and broken.

With a snap of his fingers, Dave teleported the unconscious Helios to the basement of his villa, locking him away in a small, sealed room. There was no escape for Helios now, and no mercy.

Back at his villa, Dave stood over the beds where Emily and Sarah lay, still unconscious but safe. Bella's soft voice cut through the tense silence.

"Dave, there's no need to worry. Sarah is stable, and while she's in a coma, she's not in immediate danger. Emily is in a state of shock, but her physical condition is also stable. Both of them will recover with time and the proper care."

Dave took a deep breath, the weight of the situation still pressing down on him. "Can I get the elixirs from the system? Will that help them wake up?"

"Certainly," Bella replied. "I recommend using the Elixir of Restoration from the shop. It's effective in cases like this."

Without hesitation, Dave opened the system shop and bought two Elixirs of Restoration. Carefully, he administered the glowing liquid to each of his sisters, watching as their bodies seemed to relax, their breathing becoming steadier.

"They'll wake up soon," Bella reassured him. "You've done everything you can."

Dave stood by their side for a moment longer, his heart heavy with the weight of the past few days. He had saved them, but the battle was far from over. The people like Helios—the ones behind all the suffering—were still out there. And Dave had sworn to end every last one of them.

For now, he waited by his sisters' side, watching over them as they healed. Soon, they would wake, and when they did, Dave would be there to tell them that the nightmare was over. Helios had been stopped, but Dave knew this was just the beginning. There were more like him out there, and they would all face the same fate.

With a final glance at his sisters, Dave stood up and walked toward the door. Helios was locked away in his basement, trapped in a living nightmare of his own making. Dave had plans for him—plans that would ensure no one like Helios ever hurt innocent people again.

As he closed the door behind him, Dave's resolve hardened. This world had too many evils, too many people who thrived on the suffering of others. But with the power of the Infinite Possibility System, Dave knew he had the strength to change everything.

The hunt had only just begun.
