Cisco dialed Frudi's number, eager to shake off the lingering thoughts of Tristan's unexpected visit.
"Dad, I was worried," Frudi said, concern etched in her voice. "Why did Tristan have to pick up your phone?"
Cisco's brow furrowed. "Wait, Tristan answered my phone?"
"Yes, and he said some weird things," Frudi replied. "Like, I grew up well, and you raised me pretty well. He even mentioned I'm doing a good job. It freaked me out, so I tried calling you again, later, but...you didn't answer... I mean, he didn't answer"
Cisco's mind whirled. Tristan's words still lingered.
"Tristan came to my hotel room," Cisco explained. "He brought my phone. Said it was ringing nonstop. Before he left, he said something strange"
Frudi's curiosity piqued. "Dad, that's not why I called. I got a message from the Triad."
"What mission?" Cisco asked, his focus shifting.
