Alex's voice broke into her thoughts. "Frudi, I think we should call your dad. He needs to know what just happened."
Frudi nodded, her eyes scanning the road ahead. "I'll call him as soon as we're safe."
They drove in silence for a few minutes, their hearts still racing from the adrenaline of the shootout. Finally, Frudi spotted a quiet alleyway and pulled into it.
She quickly dialed her dad's number, her hands shaking slightly as she waited for him to answer.
"Dad, it's me," Frudi said, trying to keep her voice steady. "We were attacked at the mall. I don't know who they were or what they wanted, but we had to fight our way out."
