Alex slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He wasn't in his own bed; that much was certain. His hand instinctively reached out, searching for Daniel's presence, but the bed was empty.
"Ugh, where am I?" Alex muttered to himself, rubbing his temples.
Memories of the previous night flooded back – La Casa Bar, too many drinks, and Daniel's concerned face.
Alex cursed himself, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "How did I drink so much? Stupid, Alex, stupid."
He stood up, swaying slightly, and staggered towards what he hoped was the bathroom.
But this wasn't his house. Daniel and Dylan's place was unfamiliar territory.
Alex navigated the hallway, trying to recall the layout from the night before.
Just as he was starting to feel desperate, the heavenly aroma of pancakes with strawberry syrup wafted through the air.
His stomach growled.
