The auctioneer's voice rang out once more, declaring Mark the winner of the auction. The room erupted into applause, and Mark stood up, a triumphant smile on his face.

Charlotte watched, fascinated, as Mark walked over to the auctioneer to finalize the sale. She couldn't help but wonder what had just happened - why had Wesley backed down, and what was the real reason behind this fierce bidding war?

As she turned to look at Wesley, she saw that he was still smiling to himself, a look of satisfaction on his face. Charlotte walked into the hospital room, a bright smile on her face. Her mother, Mrs. Brown, looked up from her book and smiled back.
