Chapter 99 - He was an easy prey

Devon wasted no time and teleported to the top of the building.

"Miss Alice, are you...?" He froze up and turned his gaze.

Alice glanced at him, who stared in shock at the red gate.

"What is this?" He asked.

"Your one and only red gate." She announced, quite relaxed at the situation.

She already knew what was going on and that the monsters that would come out of that gate weren't going to be simple. But she was still calm since fretting would get her nowhere.

"Miss Alice," Devon called. "I admire your conviction at wanting to uproot the problem from the source but I will not let you go into that gate recklessly as you did before, just because you want to save everyone."

Alice tilted her head, looking at him with an expression that asked, 'What the hell are you talking about? Who wants to save who?'

*Pft, he thinks you came up here because you felt the gate.*
