Alice felt someone softly brushing her hair with soft strokes. She had fallen asleep as soon as she had eaten the food in the last flask, so she didn't get a chance to see Mark when he returned.
And though this person sitting by her headside had been doing this for quite a while, confident that Alice would not wake up from doing something so light, he did not fret when Alice began to flutter her eyelashes, slowly waking up.
'It smells like Mark.' She thought and opened her eyes to find Mark sitting by her head and staring at her softly.
That rigid face of his could make these soft and mushy expressions that made her believe he was a person filled with emotions after all. Hmm, maybe his feelings for her were already growing strong?
"Did I wake you up?" Mark asked, his tone low and hoarse.
"I think so." Alice said, sparing no time to sit up. "Where's Leo?"
