Albus Dumbledore gave the warning that Black heiress was alive and had been saved with her family, calming the wizarding world.
But the question of why the girl was still alive and how she ended up with the Malfoys was never answered.
"....."
"It's not our responsibility," The blond man repeated as an excuse for not staying with the girl.
'She is a girl not an object, you verm----'
The couple stood in their living room facing a man who was desperately asking them to care for and raise the child.
Lucius flatly refused to have Sirius Black's daughter under his roof, the repulsion he felt for the man projected onto the baby playing with Draco on floor next to them.
"...Just a few years, until I can support her, then I'll take her away," This man clarified.
He wasn't thrilled with idea of Malfoys keeping the girl, but they were her family and had money to keep her safe.
"Who ensures that you will even return for it?" Lucius was not willing to give in, he would not keep that girl even if she were related to his wife, "You just want to get rid of it."
"That's nonsense, unless they send her to another school, there's no reason why I can't take care of her," The man looked at woman who had her eyes fixed on the children who were happily playing, "I can take her to your sister's" - he proposed, knowing it would get on both of their nerves.
Narcissa didn't answer immediately, she just kept watching as the two little babies played and laughed at each other.
She felt that it was pure happiness, and as a mother, it was nice to hear her son's laughter continuously.
"No," she refused after thinking for a while. 'Draco is happy, doting with Kaguya, and the girl loves playing with him.....'
She wasn't selfish enough to separate them, "A pureblood can't be raised by a mudblood."
That wasn't the real reason, but using her sister's husband as an excuse would make her look good in front of her husband.
She knew Lucius was against mudblood wizards, so she would use that against him to make him feel like girl would be better off with them.
Time passed, and girl previously named Shinomiya Kaguya, grew up as a Malfoy.
Under the strict tutelage of Lucius Malfoy and the charm of her aunt Narcissa, girl would reach the age of 11 to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where she would get great surprises over the years.

"Sirius Black locked up for murder!"
"Dark Lord's ally caught!"
"Sirius Black has been charged with the deaths of eleven Muggles and one wizard!"
Kaguya took another newspaper from her uncle's bookshelf, which said the same thing as previous ones she had already read.
She didn't know what she felt when saw the man who was her father in Azkaban uniform, the man who besides being her father was a murderer.
It had been a few months since she found out what her father was.
It was one evening, when she could see Draco having dinner with his mother and father, that she wondered

'Why don't I have parents?'
Draco looked so happy with Narcissa, and even though she told her about okay being calling her mom, Kaguya knew she was her aunt.
She began to wonder about her mother and consequently wondered about her father too.
She knew that her uncle had a large library with old books and newspapers that talked about Voldemort's followers.
One day she sneaked into her uncle's office and began to look for something about her past, that day she discovered that father was a murderer.
But even though he was wearing the Azkaban uniform, even though looked haggard, just like a desperate man.
It was the only way she could see her father's image.
That was very sad if she thought about it, but it wasn't her fault that he preferred Voldemort over her.
Since then, she would sometimes enter her uncle's office without permission to see the photos.
Kaguya would try to make the same expressions as her father in front of a mirror, comparing herself physically to him as a game.
A game she had to play alone.
She knew nothing about her mother, not because she hadn't tried to look, it's just didn't even know her name.
"Odette!" The girl's expression changed completely when office door was opened.
It was the name Lucius gave her, and from what Kaguya discovered in research it was taken from Malfoy Family Tree.
She crumpled sheets in her hands because of fear her uncle's face caused her when he saw her.
If there was one thing she knew for sure, it was that Lucius never loved her.
He had shown it more than once, whether it was with shouts or blows.
He couldn't stand the slightest mistake, a misplaced object or a mispronounced spell, and Kaguya would face a punishment that she learned to bear over the years.

Once, when she was a little younger, she accidentally broke a small gadget in the house.
It was nothing important, just a decoration.
She thought that no one would notice, but didn't count on her uncle's presence just when that object became rubble.
"I knew it was a mistake to have you here!" He grabbed her by the arm and dragged her forcefully to her room.
"You've been a pain in the arse since the day you arrived," He threw her into her room where she lost her balance and fell to the floor.
"If you want to be part of this family you have to stop being so useless!"

Present Time
She lowered her head, waiting for her uncle to scream.
The blond walked towards her, completely angry, and snatched the sheets of newspaper from the girl's hand.
"Sirius Black," he read with utter disgust on his face, "I raised you to be more than this inept was!"
Lucius threw sheets on the floor, which Dobby, the family house elf, would have to clean up later.
Kaguya didn't know who her father was, she didn't know if he was incompetent, she didn't care to know.
She only knew that he was her father, and that in some way she was here because of him.
She didn't know who he was, but she felt, in a very small part of her being, that she had to defend him because he was her father.
