The Next Morning
Bani opened her eyes to a world of excruciating pain in her body. As she tried to sit up slowly, she felt a hand on her waist. Turning her head, she was shocked to see a man lying next to her. Her heart raced, and she quickly glanced at herself.
She was completely naked. Realization dawned on her, and tears filled her eyes as she understood what had happened the night before. Struggling to compose herself, Bani slowly got up from the bed, dressed in a daze, her exhaustion weighing heavily on her. She somehow managed to gather her strength and left the room.
About two hours later, Reyansh woke up and, noticing Bani's absence, became furious. He got out of bed, dressed quickly, and picked up his phone to make a call.
As soon as the call connected, he spoke in his cold voice, "A girl came into my room last night. I want all her information in an hour."
He hung up without waiting for a response. His eyes fell on the bed, where he noticed bloodstains. Staring at them, he muttered, "You can't get away from me after coming this close. You made a mistake by running away; you'll regret it, baby."
A devilish smile crept across Reyansh's face.
On the Other Side
When Bani returned home, her mother, Priya, asked, "Bani, where were you all night?"
Controlling her emotions, Bani replied, "Mom, I was at Naina's house. I got late last night." Without waiting for a response, she headed to her room.
Priya watched her go, puzzled. "What's wrong with her? Why is she acting so strange?" But she shrugged it off and got back to her chores.
Once inside her room, Bani locked the door and rushed to the bathroom. She turned on the shower, standing beneath the cascading water as tears streamed down her face. "What happened? How did I end up in that room?" she sobbed.
After about an hour, Bani stepped out of the shower, her eyes red from crying. She lay down on her bed, exhaustion overtaking her, and fell asleep.
Meanwhile at Oberoi Industries
Reyansh sat in his office chair, Shera standing before him. "File," he said coldly.
Shera handed him a file and said, "Boss, this contains the information."
Reyansh took the file and gestured for Shera to continue. "Boss, her name is Bani Mehra. She's 19, has a mother and a 15-year-old brother. No father. She's currently studying business management and is in her second year."
After a brief pause, he added, "She works part-time in our office."
Reyansh looked at Shera thoughtfully. After a moment, he said, "Appoint Bani as my personal assistant."
Shera was taken aback for a moment but nodded and left the room.
Once alone, Reyansh gazed at Bani's photo and said, "Tomorrow, you'll be in front of me. You know, I can still feel your scent."
He closed his eyes, whispering, "Oh Bani, just come back tomorrow. I need to feel you again. I want you, Bani. I want you badly."
At College
Naina sat in the canteen, visibly worried. Just then, Mishka plopped down on the chair across from her. "What's wrong, Naina? You look so troubled."
Naina replied, "I don't know what's going on with Bani. She didn't answer my calls last night and texted this morning saying she's unwell and won't be coming to college. Then she turned off her phone."
Mishka thought to herself, Maybe my plan worked. Bani is finished now.
She said to Naina, "Don't worry. She might genuinely be sick."
Naina simply nodded, unconvinced.
Later That Evening
Bani woke up feeling a little more normal. When she stepped out of her room, Priya observed her closely and said, "Bani, you've been sleeping for a long time. Are you okay? And what's this mark on your neck?"
Bani's heart raced at her mother's question, but she quickly masked her fear with a slight smile. "I'm fine, Mom. I just got sick from being out late last night at the party, and I must have slipped in the bathroom and hurt myself."
With that, she sat on the sofa. Just then, her younger brother, Somansh, walked in and sat beside her. "What happened, sis?"
Bani replied, "Nothing."
Somansh teased, "Then why do you look like a rotten tomato?"
Bani retorted, "You're talking too much."
Somansh laughed. "Did you just realize how much I talk?"
Bani grinned. "Enough of that."
They both fell into easy banter, and thanks to Somansh, Bani momentarily forgot her pain. After dinner, the family went to bed.
The Next Day
Bani had to go to the office today. Looking in the mirror, she told herself, "Forget what happened. It's in the past. You need to move forward."
With a light smile, she donned a white shirt and black jeans, tying her hair in a ponytail. A bit of kohl accentuated her eyes, and lip balm glistened on her lips. She looked stunning.
Little did she know, today she was going to meet the biggest villain of her life.
As she stepped out, she said, "Mom, I'm leaving. I'm running late."
Just then, her phone rang. Seeing it was the office, she quickly answered.
A voice on the other end said, "Bani, you need to come to the office early today. It's the boss's order."
Before she could respond, the call ended abruptly.
Priya handed her a glass of milk. "Finish this first, then go."
Bani grimaced. "Mom, I don't like milk."
Priya scolded, "Hurry up and drink it."
Reluctantly, Bani drank the milk and left the house.
Arriving at the office, she rushed to her department head's cabin. "Good Morning, Sir."
The head looked at her and said, "Good Morning, Bani. From today, you're the boss's PA."
Bani was taken aback. "But Sir, why am I being given such a big position?"
The department head replied, "I have no idea. It's an order, so we have to follow it. Head to the top floor."
Bani nodded. "Okay, sir."
Once outside, she made her way to the top floor and stood before the boss's cabin. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. "Come in," came a cold voice from inside.
Bani felt a shiver down her spine but steadied herself and entered.
Keeping her head down, she said, "Sir, I'm Bani Mehra, your new PA."
As she lifted her gaze, shock washed over her when she realized she was face to face with the man she had spent the night with.
