Kamar Taj, Kathmandu, May 23, 1943
Aryan's mind raced as he processed the Ancient One's words. "So, the changes I caused in the timeline actually created a paradox that worked against the Asura's plans?" he asked, realization dawning on him.
The Ancient One nodded. "Yes, Aryan. Your actions inadvertently created a temporal buffer that temporarily stabilized reality. This paradox has hindered the Asura's ability to fully exploit his newfound powers."
"But what are the other gods and Kamar Taj planning to counter this threat?" Aryan inquired, concern evident in his voice.
The Ancient One's expression grew serious. "Initially, the gods were deeply worried about this threat. They couldn't count on Kamar Taj forces, as we are already stretched thin, protecting reality from various dimensional threats. Additionally, the power that the Asura wields is beyond our current capabilities."
He paused, then continued with a small smile, "However, luckily we discovered you early on. While no one could fully perceive your true nature and powers due to your own abilities, we recognized you as an anomaly that was stabilizing reality. This is why you have seen a relatively smooth path so farโthe gods have favored you, hoping you would be the key to maintaining balance."
Aryan nodded, realizing that more forces were responsible for his smooth journey at the beginning than he had thought. He felt a mix of gratitude and responsibility. "So, you want me to eliminate this threat?"
The Ancient One's eyes gleamed with determination. "Yes, I am sure that you have the power to defeat the Asura and end him. Your unique nature makes you our best hope. The fate of multiple realities rests on your shoulders."
Aryan took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "Very well, I'll see what I can do," he said, his voice steady with determination. Internally, he vowed to end the threat that loomed over his home and loved ones.
The Ancient One's expression softened with approval. "I am sure you will, Aryan. Your courage and strength are invaluable for us."
As the gravity of their mission settled, their conversation shifted to various topics. They discussed the vastness of the cosmos, the intricate balance of realities, and the mundane matters of daily life at Kamar Taj. Aryan found solace in the Ancient One's wisdom, and they both agreed on the importance of cooperation in facing threats from beyond their reality.
Rastrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, Bharat
Aryan materialized in his office, the familiar surroundings of Rastrapati Bhavan grounding him after the intense conversation with the Ancient One. He sank into his chair, the weight of the revelations settling heavily on his shoulders. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of the city outside casting long shadows.
Taking a deep breath, Aryan activated his skill. A soft hum filled the room as the holographic form of Athena appeared before him, her presence a comforting constant in the midst of chaos.
"Athena," Aryan began, his voice steady but urgent, "we need to prepare a comprehensive strategy to counter the threats revealed by the Ancient One."
Athena's eyes glowed with determination. "Understood, Master Aryan. I will analyze all available data and formulate a plan to address the Asura's threat."
Athena had recently been gaining sentience and was much more expressive than before. She was determined to prove her worth and loyalty to her master by being as useful as she could. So she began her calculations earnestly.
As Athena began her calculations, Aryan continued, "Also, calibrate the Arcane computer. We need it to detect and calculate threats originating from across the dimensions accurately."
"Right away," Athena responded, her form flickering as she interfaced with the sleek and futuristic-looking Arcane computer that he had recently put on his desk for easier access. He also provided a similar computer with much more capabilities, although much larger in size, for the headquarters of KAVACH. Both these computers were connected with a tamper-proof magical ley line network, so changes in one would also reflect on the other. The room filled with the soft hum of machinery as the system came to life, its screens displaying complex algorithms and dimensional maps.
Aryan watched Athena's holographic form flicker as she worked. He knew from the recent events that he needed to do more than just strategize; he needed to empower those he trusted to stand against the looming threats. The alchemical potions which granted complete beneficial evolution of human genes were finished going through the testing phase. Along with the healing potions, they could be a valuable asset in their endeavors. Additionally, he needed to create a skill to further empower his close ones.
Closing his eyes, Aryan focused inward, tapping into his [Mete-creation] ability. It had been a long time since he had created a new skill, and the process required deep concentration and a clear vision. He envisioned the essence of power, a shimmering, ethereal energy that could be molded and bestowed upon others.
The room seemed to darken around him as he delved deeper into his mind. He felt the familiar pull on his infinite reserves of energy. Aryan's breathing slowed, and his heartbeat synced with the rhythm of the universe. He extended his hands, palms up, and began to draw the energy towards him.
After a few moments, he succeeded in creating a new skill: [Bestow]. This skill allowed him to transfer any power he already possessed to another individual of his choosing, enhancing the abilities they already possessed, to face the threats ahead.
He then began to think about his own powers and abilities. Confident that he had more than enough power to defeat the Asura and other threats, he still believed in taking precautions. He planned on exploring the complexity of divinity, often shrouded in mystery, and if possible, wanted to awaken his own divine power. This would allow him to be ready for whatever comes his way. For this, he had to analyze the divinity already possessed by the various gods and goddesses present in this chaotic multiverse.
Aryan's thoughts were interrupted by Athena's voice, clear and confident. "Master Aryan, the calibration is complete. The Arcane computer is now fully operational and ready to detect threats originating from across the dimensions."
Aryan opened his eyes, the room's dim light reflecting off the holographic displays. "Excellent work, Athena," he said, his voice filled with appreciation. He turned his attention to the Arcane computer, its screens now displaying a complex web of dimensional data and threat indicators.
He began to navigate through the interface, his fingers moving swiftly over the controls. The system responded instantly, highlighting potential threats and anomalies across various dimensions. Aryan's eyes scanned the data, his mind processing the information rapidly.
"Athena, cross-reference these anomalies with the known activities of the Asura," Aryan instructed. "We need to pinpoint any patterns or connections that could give us an advantage."
"Understood," Athena replied, her form flickering as she processed the request. Within moments, the screen updated, displaying a series of highlighted points that indicated potential Asura-related activities.
