Prolog

**The New New York**

A beautiful city, full of memories for all beings at Earth's Turning Point. But all of that was lost just a short while ago.

*Boom* Sfx of Magical Explosion

The towering skyscrapers have now collapsed; only a few remain standing, though they are severely damaged.

And in one of those buildings, there's a small girl—too small, I think—maybe around 13 or 15 years old.

The girl is sobbing uncontrollably, as if her entire world has shattered into pieces. Her cries are full of despair.

*Boom* Sfx of Magical Explosion

The magical explosions are growing more intense by the second. Even though they seem distant, the vibrations and sparks from the blasts reach the place where the small girl is. Yet, she continues to cry. Even when her voice fades away, she keeps crying, oblivious to the world around her that's crumbling apart. What could be causing her so much pain?

...Don't leave me.

*Boom* Sfx of Magical Explosion

*Drip* Sound of footsteps.

Footsteps can be heard, not far from the girl. Out of the darkness in her eyes, the sound of footsteps slowly approaching her begins to reach her ears.

But—

The girl doesn't care at all. Her tortured expression shows that "this world no longer matters." And as the footsteps stop beside her, the voice of a young man speaks: "Take care of him. No matter what happens... I'll handle this mess quickly."

...Who?

"I didn't want to inherit this title, but I hate seeing you like this even more. ...I'm sorry that I've never taken training seriously before. From now on, I'll carry your title."

*Trennggg* Sfx of metal clashing.

...Wait.

"What are you—"

"GIVE ME EVERYTHING! GIVE ME ALL YOUR POWER, AND KILL ME. ...I DON'T CARE WHAT IT COSTS, I DON'T CARE! ...RIGHT NOW, ALL I WANT IS STRENGTH, SO GIVE IT TO ME!"

The young man screamed before the small girl could finish her words.

"As you wish." A voice, from an unknown source, answered. The voice was soft and warm.

The cold and dark atmosphere instantly shifted the moment the soft voice responded to the young man.

The little girl began to realize who this young man was.

A bright light, like a small sun, appeared near the girl—though it seemed as though only she could see it. The light flew and entered the young man's body.

"...Aaa—" She turned her face toward the man.

A familiar figure appeared before her eyes, someone she had been crying over all this time.

Her tiny hands reached out to him, but—"I'm leaving now, take care of yourself."

"Don't leave me alone, ...FATHER!"
