So..."
"I think I'm out,...you guys seemed to know each other better, which is helpfull in teams"
Feng awkwardly interfered Sky. The latter shooked her head adding:
"No, I will stay, you guys can go".
Hearing Sky rejecting the offer their eyes widen especially Luka who was hoping the otherwise.
"Bu..t, Sky, you...!"
To tell the truth Sky wanted to go as she thought it's easy money. But ... she needs to lessen her consumption of potions as much as possible since the side effects are annoying to deal with.
Seeing this going no where, Luka decided to pull the strings stating he wants Sky, Natalie and Feng with him in the team leaving Sara behind, which of course she didn't willingly accept it burning with rage.
"What the hell Luka? Sky herself said she doesn't want to go" Sara yelled.
"I'm sorry Sara, her affinity is likeable to be more needed in this commission" He replied then restored.
Stomping her feet, Sara walked away angery curse him since she is unwanted.
"Then, since we agreed and everything set, let's meet tomorrow infront of teleporting gate in mile town" Said Luka.
"Just a second, what about our classes?" Natalie asked with concerning look.
"I'll tell master Robert to sign your presents so don't worry".
Natalie heave a relief sigh everything is going smoothly than expected. Luka then waved goodbye and left not sening Sky's gazes tailing him until he disappeared from her sight.
"Sky? What wrong?" Asked Natalie.
Facing Natalie and Feng she restored bending her arms on the both sides of her waist.
"Don't you guys think that it's odd that he didn't want Sara to come, he knows her better than us" Sky's suspicious raised again.
Take a note of what she said, Feng nodded then commented as well:
"He chose me instead of her even though I'm a total stranger".
The four of them exchanged gazes, stoned on their places with puzzled faces.
In another place,Sara ran away like a little kid in tears, felt rejected and left behind. It's a first,
She's always the abandoned one, and she hate it keeps happening. She also doesn't know why Sky hates her. As far as her memories gone, she didn't do anything to her. Gnashing her teeth in anger she explode.
"Sky this! Sky that! What's so good about her anyway?! I'm m better! much..."
Her memories went back to that moment she glanced the blonde handsome like gold hair and ocean bule eyes, smiling at Sky and whispering in her ears. She saw it all from the dorm's window.
"...prettier" She added feeling defeated.
"Aha, youngster..."
Startled at a voice suddenly called behind her, Sara pulled her dagger all shakedout with a quick turn to meet a man with wine colored jacket coating a black combat suit. A frustrated expression surfaced on his pale fine face whilst walking slowly toward her.
"What trouble you, youngsters?" He asked with concern.
Not uncomfortable to his fake solicitude, Sara cautiously backed away, but the man shoot her a threat look with his gray eyes, she instantly dropped her dagger, her hands couldn't stop shaking, she felt death coming to claim her soul.
"Oh, I understand you young miss,...hate, jealously, hmm...do you wish this person's death?" A snigger then a smirk loomed on his mouth.
Accidentally stubs on her legs falling next on the ground, her body shivered as tears run on her cheeks, Sara found it hard to breathe. Dropping her gazes fixed on ground in fear to meet his eyes, his presence and her instincts tells her...this man's is fatal, hideously demonic man.
"Hmm, no answer, then..." Said the mysterious man menacingly.
Sara's nail scrapped the dirt hearing his steady steps getting closer, until she glimpsed his black boots.
'Please, please, p...lease...g..o'
Tightened her arms around her in a hug and closed eyes her thoughts screamed pleading for help, someone, anyone...to save her. However, no one is coming for her aid, as the last thing to be engraved in her memory is his hand gently pats her head then everything went bleak.
"Always so fragile, young ones...this is no fun anymore"
The man stated glaring at the headless corpus reposed on the ground, even dared to show sincere sadness.
Next, the space behind the man unwrapped then cracked like shredded glass unfolding a black hole. From within, another alley of his emerged, his whole body was shaded in black. Once he noticed the figure infront of him, he immediately kneeled down, not paying attention to the corpse.
"Master Lenny"
Side glanced him, the man lips raised forming a smile. "Did you find anything?" Said the man.
"Yes, master"
Withdrawal a scroll out of his dimensions ring, the shaded figure proceeded to replace it on his master palm nervously not daring to look him in the eyes.
The man address with Lenny, unfolded then loudly started to laugh for a second just to suppress his laughters with his hand covering half his face, half hiding his craziness and vicioush smile eyeing Sara's cold corpse.
"Sky Logen, what a coincident...no, must be fate" The man chuckled on his own words, then deeply breathed shifting his gazes up into the fogged horizon.
Soon later, the upper layers turned gray. Luka called them to make sure they won't miss their rendezvous and he'll be waiting at the meeting place in mile town.
With a sigh, Sky jammed all the necessaries inside the dimension ring including the hundred normalized potions.
"I...think that much of it"
Looking around the room skipping the sliver blade sword placed on the nightstand, then glimpsed it again
"Should I just...no, it's not really mine,..I guess...is it? Lady Nil haven't answer my messages yet though...bu..t..what if...I mean one time wouldn't hurt, right?" Sky couldn't stop arguing herself about it since she received the sword.
However, she sneaked it inside, not sure if it'll count as stealing, but its partially hers, she left with that thought on her mind.
On the teleporting gate site, Sky saw numerous of people waiting in line to use it. She also glanced her comrades chatting with Luka who's voice been the loudest.
"It's not like that!!" He shouted.
Noting Sky's presence as she joined them, Luka turned his back, instantly clicking his fingers on his screen angrily.
"What's up with him?" She asked.
Giggling Natalie replied: "He didn't like Feng's calling him young master".
"Because he didn't sign the adoption certificate yet" Feng remarked shaking his head, Sky just shrugged not commenting.
Thining that they'll wait, she stood in line, Luka glanced her then told them to follow him, cutting the line Luka showed the gate gurads a customized paper, scanning it carefully they immediately bowed their heads.
"Just a moment sir, I'll prepare the gate immediately" Said a guard.
Taking back the paper into dimensions ring, Feng and Sky whistled with 'all hale the master' gazes. Luka rolled his eyes tired of their mockery actions.
"Since we're going to far away place from the capital, here...digest these pills first"
Luka stated handing them purple pills, they didn't look promising to them, except Natalie who swallowed it without questioning, Sky's face darken at her blind trust, howeve, Natalie stated:
"It's lessened the poisonous fog effect for period of time".
Feng grinned, patting Sky's shoulder, the latter shaked her head in response, then they swallowed it at once.
"Young master Luka, everything is ready, have a safe trip".
Luka eyebrow raised almost verbally curse the gurad. Who is in his right mind refers going to Ryett palace a safe trip?
"Yea, let's hope gains are more than loss"
Saying that, Luka stepped straight into radiating gate followed by Natalie and Feng. On Sky's turn, where she was about to join them she paused sensing danger from behind. With quick turn, she clocked eyes with gray irises of the vicious man malevolently smiling at her.
"What the...!"
As she stoned in her place a scream echoed in her ears.
'Run Sky! Run!!!! S..k...y!' The female scream woke her up from her trance.
But her legs gave up to fear as something malicious was stepping even closer.
The familiar voice never stopped pressing her to escape, while continously biting her bottom lip till she could taste her blood. Thoughts flooded as she wondered, why she's hearing Sara's voice telling her to run. She is this close to the ring, thus in a last desperate attempt, Sky threw her body into the teleport gate to fall on her butt with a thud, forthwith they disappeared in seconds.
The man steps halted eyeing where Sky was, yet to glimpse the purpled hair woman on his side vision.
"To think the great elder son of the Morgens would attack an innocent student, so shameless!" Said the woman gritting her teeth.
"Oh wow, humph...I dare you to say this with your eyes open Hurricane".
Smirking at her sealed eyes while her syth blade pointed close to his neck, they were having mentally confront.
