Chapter 17 - Chapter 16: Kaison

The mighty dragon, peered down at Hiro, his massive form still looming over the boy. "Tell me, Hiro," the dragon began, his deep voice echoing in the cavern. "How exactly did you end up in my domain?"

Hiro, standing firm and unshaken by the dragon's presence, replied calmly, "I was traveling with my companions. We were heading through the forest when we got separated. We fell into a trap and I ended up here, much deeper than where they likely are."

The dragon, now intrigued, tilted his head. "So you left them behind?"

"No," Hiro responded without hesitation. "I didn't leave them. But I trust them, I believe they'll find their way out safely. For me, finding you here feels like something I couldn't have missed. I know this opportunity is rare, and I need to become stronger. If I went back to them now, there's no guarantee I'd encounter anyone like you to help with my training. I'll return to them once I've become stronger—strong enough to handle enemies that are even more powerful."

The dragon chuckled, clearly amused by Hiro's resolve. "Hahaha, I like that. You've got a great mindset, Hiro Amadeus. You said body have instinctively guided you here." He paused, then added, "The god of light, who blessed your clan, used a great piece of his power to seal me when i'm controlled by the demon king. Maybe that's why your body drawning to me without even realizing it."

Hiro, feeling a deeper connection to the dragon, nodded in understanding. He knew of his clan's legendary connection to powerful beings but had never imagined meeting a creature like the Dragon. Hiro asked, "By the way, what's your name, O' great dragon?"

The dragon's eyes twinkled with amusement at the formality. "Kaison," he said simply, then added, "But you can call me Kai."

Hiro nodded. "Mr. Kai—"

"No need for the 'Mr.' Just Kai is fine."

Hiro smiled slightly, feeling a bit more comfortable. "Kai... If I may ask, how much do you know about the Amadeus sword techniques? I'm just curious. I don't mean to belittle your abilities."

Kaison let out a low laugh. "More than you do, that's for sure." He winked, then added, "Hiryu shared many secrets with me that your clan might have forgotten. He taught me the easy ways of his techniques that you won't find in any books."

Hiro's eyes lit up at the prospect of learning hidden aspects of his clan's techniques. It was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

Kai's eyes sparkled with pride. "Hiryu created nine techniques, right?"

Hiro nodded. "Yes, that's correct."

"How many can you use?" Kai asked, his voice sharp but curious.

"I've only learned the first two techniques," Hiro admitted, "but I haven't fully mastered them yet."

"That's impressive for someone your age," Kai replied, his voice carrying a hint of approval. "This will be a long training, Hiro. But I'll make sure you awaken the true power that resides within your clan—the power of Hiryu's bloodline, the Amadeus." Kai's eyes glowed brightly as he continued, "And if you surpass my expectations, I might even teach you some of my own techniques."

Hiro felt a surge of excitement. Training with Kaison could elevate him to a level he'd never dreamed of. "I'll do my best to surpass your expectations," Hiro said, determination burning in his eyes.

Kaison stood up and, with a flash of light, began to shift. His enormous dragon form shrunk and contorted until he stood before Hiro in a more human-like form, though his dragonic features remained. "It's been a long time since I took this form," Kaison said, stretching his arms. "The last time was before the demon king cursed me."

Hiro stared in awe at the transformation. "So, you and my ancestor Hiryu were really close, weren't you?"

Kaison nodded, a faint smile on his face. "Yes, we fought side by side. In fact, Hiryu used the scales from my body to forge the Sword of Blasphemy, the very weapon your great ancestors Hiryu, treasures so deeply."

Hiro's eyes widened in shock. He hadn't expected to learn something so monumental about his family's legendary weapon. "The Sword of Blasphemy... created from your scales?" His voice was filled with awe.

Kaison chuckled at Hiro's reaction. "Yes. And now, I'll help you unlock the true potential of your clan's techniques. Our training will be long and difficult, but I believe you have the strength to handle it."

Hiro's heart raced with excitement and pride. He was about to begin a journey that would not only strengthen him but also honor his family's legacy. He stood tall and firm, his eyes filled with determination. "I, Hiro Amadeus, the last survivor of the Amadeus clan, is ready to learn from by the strongest creature nd my great ancestors old comrade—the dragon Kaison!

Kaison smiled, baring his sharp teeth. "Good. First, I'll help you master the Dragon Tyrant technique, a technique inspired by my own strength. It will be the foundation of your training."

Hiro bowed slightly, ready to begin the hardest yet most rewarding training of his life.
