For as long as stories have existed, so has the legend of isekai—ordinary people whisked away to fantastical worlds, often by strange and unnatural means. Books, anime, games—all of them tell the tale of some fated hero transported to another realm. But what if it wasn’t just fiction?
For years, an eerie pattern has gone unnoticed. Victims of truck accidents aren’t just dying—their souls are vanishing, sent somewhere else. But to the world, these are just tragic hit-and-run cases. No one questions it. No one realizes the truth.
No one—except the truck drivers.
Born into a struggling family, the protagonist’s father was an overworked truck driver, doing whatever he could to keep food on the table. Life was simple, if not exhausting, until the day it all fell apart. A sudden accident. A phone call. Rushed footsteps to the hospital. And in his final, weakened breaths, his father could only whisper his name over and over, "I’m sorry." Then, silence.
Left completely alone, grief-stricken and directionless, the teenager tried to move on—until the hallucinations began. It started with a handprint on the mirror. Then, words formed in the condensation of his bedroom window:
"You're next."
At first, he ignored it. But as time passed, the visions grew clearer. A job offer appeared where none should exist. A message—cryptic and cold—instructing him to become a truck driver. And when the first mission arrived, so did the warning: Refuse, and disaster will strike.
Meanwhile, the authorities start to notice. The number of accidents doesn’t make sense. There’s no pattern—yet too many coincidences. Someone is behind this, and they won’t stop until they find out who.
Now, trapped in a game he never asked to play, the driver must evade those chasing him, uncover the truth behind the trucks, and decide if he’s willing to send others away to avoid a punishment far worse than death.
