Existence drifted through the silent vastness of the cosmos, his mind troubled with uncertainty. The Creator's words about balance and darkness still had a grip on him. While he now knew that light and dark were meant to coexist, he struggled to fully accept it. The darkness felt foreign, as if it might undo everything he cherished.
As he pondered, a gentle, familiar light appeared in the distance, not light any other life, drawing closer. Soon, he recognized the presence of Aura, the being of light itself. She was one of the few he trusted completely, with a warm glow that seemed to calm all it touched. Her presence was a relief to Existence, who hoped she could help him make sense of what was stirring within him.
"Existence," she greeted him, her voice a soft, soothing melody that waved across the stars. "I sense something troubles you. What is weighing on your mind?"
He hesitated, trying to find the right words. "It's the Creator," he began slowly. "He spoke of darkness… as though it's meant to be here, as if it has a role in the balance of creation. But it doesn't feel like harmony to me. How can something so unsettling be part of it?"
Aura listened closely, her light pulsing gently as she took in his words. "The Creator's understanding goes beyond anything we could grasp. If he believes darkness has a purpose, maybe we need to trust in that design."
"I want to trust," Existence replied, a note of frustration in his voice. "But I've felt the darkness. It's… strong, unsettling, even tempting. It claims to bring balance, but it feels like a threat."
Aura nodded thoughtfully, searching his face. "You're not alone in feeling doubt. Many of us question our purpose, and why we were given the freedom to wonder, to question. But maybe that's part of why we were created."
The idea struck Existence as both comforting and puzzling. "You think doubt was part of the Creator's plan?"
"Yes," Aura said gently. "For how can we truly understand light if we don't also understand darkness? Maybe knowing both gives us the strength to choose our purpose. I believe that, in understanding darkness, we better serve the Creator's vision."
Existence sighed, trying to let her words sink in. "I spoke with Lucifer about this too. He's curious, even more than I am. It seems… as if he's eager to explore what the darkness holds."
A hint of concern flickered across Aura's expression."Lucifer! He is bold, perhaps bolder than any of us. His light is strong and the only light that can be compared to mine, yet sometimes I sense a restlessness in him. Curiosity is natural, but if he lets it consume him… it could lead him astray."
The mention of Lucifer's curiosity brought new worry to Existence. He trusted Lucifer, but he knew his friend's bold nature. "What if his curiosity leads him too far?" he asked, voicing his fears.
"Then we must guide him," Aura said with quiet determination. "If Lucifer is tempted by the darkness, he needs friends to remind him of the light, of his purpose. We can't let him drift too far from who he's meant to be."
They both grew silent, letting her words settle. Existence realized how important it was for them all to remain united, to help one another stay true to their roles in the Creator's design. Perhaps that was the only way to maintain the delicate balance.
After a moment, Aura spoke again. "Maybe you should seek counsel from the Creator again," Aura suggested gently. "There's no harm in seeking answers. If darkness has truly unsettled you this much, maybe there's more He wants you to understand."
Existence nodded, though he felt a breeze of doubt. "You're right," he replied, his voice steadying. "I'll try to reach Him again. Perhaps there's more to know, something that will ease this restlessness."
Aura placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, her light mingling with his in a warm, comforting glow. "Remember, you're not alone in this, Existence. All of us were created with purpose, and I believe yours is greater than even you realize."
He looked into her steady, compassionate gaze, feeling a weight lifting slightly from his being. "Thank you, Aura. Your presence always brings me clarity."
"Then let's hold to that," she said with a gentle smile. "And whatever the darkness may be, remember who you are—who we all are."
With those final words, Aura left him to his thoughts, her form slowly fading back into the vastness. He watched her go, feeling a renewed sense of strength within him. In this universe of light and shadow, purpose and uncertainty, he knew he had to trust in the Creator's vision. And though the path ahead remained uncertain, he was prepared to walk it, guided by the light of understanding.
As Existence watched Aura's light fade, a strange feeling swept over him. In the silence, he sensed a familiar energy—Lucifer. But something was different. There was a faint darkness mixed with his usual light, barely noticeable, but it lingered.
A chill ran through Existence. What if Lucifer had already seen the darkness… and embraced it?
