Kennedy knelt holding tightly onto the poles as the whips landed on his back. His face was emotionless and he looked like he wasn't feeling any pain.
"I so much hate that father of yours"his demon, Zack growled and he sighed.
This was his punishment for not bringing Gabrielle back with him and for not winning the war. His father had one principle :Always win, No losing. He always kept to that principle but he couldn't this time and he had to get punished.
"Let him go. Apply demon's bane to the wounds and leave him without treatment"his father commanded and he chuckled. He winced in pain as he felt the guards apply demon's bane to his wounds.
Just as wolf's bane was poisonous and dangerous to wolfs, demon's bane was poisonous to demons too. He knew his father was doing this to make his healing slower but he didn't mind. At least he got to see his mate, it all worth it.
"So what do you plan on doing to seek for my forgiveness?!"his father asked and he mentally rolled his eyes as the servants threw him at his feet.
"Screw you, motherfucker. To hell with you and your forgiveness!"Zack growled as he fought to take control but he held him back.
"I will go to the Vampire's clan tomorrow and try asking her out. If possible, I might get to court her. It's best we start like that, a strong woman like her wouldn't like to be controlled"he said to his father delight and his father beamed.
"That's more like you. Get her to fall head over heels for you and bring her to the clan. Once she is yours, you can do whatever you like with her. She can bore you a heir, a strong one at that. You know you both have a alpha blood, you are both born to lead"his father said and Kennedy muffled a laugh.
A heir? With that psycho? She fucking has a mate already. Judging by the powerful aura coming from her mate, he wasn't ready to buried six feet's under but it wouldn't be bad to lead his father on.
"Yes, father. I will do just that"he said and his father smiled.
"Have you found her yet?"his father asked and he tensed up.
He knew his father was referring to his mate but there was no way he was going to tell him that he found her.
"No,I haven't and even if I did, I will be killing her on sight"he said feigning anger and his father smiled.
"Good, a mate only makes one weak"his father said and he hummed in agreement.
"You can leave"his father ordered and he stood up and walked out ignoring the pain he was feeling.
King Alistair watched as his son walked out and he sighed. He knew his son more than anything after all he had trained him singlehandedly ever since his mother left him.
And he now figured out something, he had found her but he was willing to hide it from him. He knew the right thing to do, he wasn't going to let his son pass through the heartbreak he felt years ago when his mate betrayed him.
He beckoned to his beta who came closer to him.
"Find her and when you do, kill her"he said to his beta who nodded already knowing who the 'her' in question was, Kennedy's mate.

(Next morning)
Kennedy stood at the vampire's clan border as he strode to and fro. He had sent a carrier pigeon to give a letter to Gabrielle and he wasn't sure if she was going to show up. He could just teleport to her room but he had never been there before so he couldn't.
"I never knew I made a good impression on you for you to be looking for me"he heard a voice behind him and he turned to see the devil, herself.
She was dressed in a crop top and shorts and he was sure she had no bra on judging by her showing pointy nipples.
"I have to get back to sleep so if you only called me to check me out, I guess I will have to leave"Gabrielle said yawning tiredly and Kennedy scoffed.
"Isn't it unethical for a lady to still be at sleep at this hour?"he asked and Gabrielle glared at him.
"Then consider me as a man"she said nonchalantly and he chuckled as his expression turned serious.
"I need your help"he said and Gabrielle narrowed her eyes at him.
"If you want me to give you a blowjob then my answer is no"Gabrielle said pointing at his bulging dick and he rolled his eyes.
"Can't you be any better? It's just normal man's instinct,you came out without a bra"Kennedy defended and she chuckled.
"Now, you are less tensed. So shoot,what's going on?"Gabrielle asked and Kennedy looked at her in disbelieve.
So she cracked that joke to make him relax a bit. He can't seem to lay a finger on what this lady's personality is.
"My father wants me to marry you but I don't want to so.."he began but Gabrielle cut in.
"Neither do I, what's up with all this supernatural wanting their son to marry me?"she said rolling her eyes and Kennedy chuckled.
"Well no one asked you to be beautiful and so powerful"Kennedy commented while she glared at him.
"So what?" Gabrielle asked nonchalantly and Kennedy sighed.
"I want us to fake that we are together."he said and Gabrielle turned to him with a sly smile.
"And why should I agree to that? Last I checked, we aren't friends and you have a mate so do I"she said and Kennedy rolled his eyes.
"It's not like we are enemies either. It's just dating,trust me, I won't touch you neither will I get too close" Kennedy stated and Gabrielle chuckled.
"It's not like I will let you touch me even if you want to but what do I stand to gain in all of this?"She asked and Kennedy smiled.
He knew she would want something in return.
"What do you want?"he asked with a sigh and Gabrielle smiled.
"I will tell you when the time comes but let's start with this for now"she said as she moved closer and pulled him closer bringing her lips close to his.
"What are you doing?"Kennedy whispered and Gabrielle smirked putting his hands in her waist.
" I want to make someone go crazy. Please help me knock him out when he comes"she whispered back and almost immediately a powerful force pushed them apart causing Kennedy to cough out blood.
Gabrielle remained steady as she turned to see Lucifer exuding a dangerous aura as his face darkened with anger.
Lucifer gripped his fists tightly staring at the woman before him. It was taking him every ounce of his energy to stop himself from ripping off the head of the man before him.
He had wanted to sneak to her room and stare at her since he knew she would still be at sleep but he was surprised when she wasn't in bed. He traced her scent to the borders and he felt his rationality slip away as he saw that she was about to kiss that scumbag, Amelia's mate.
He should have known this guy wasn't up to anything good. He doesn't deserve Amelia at all but his mate was to be blamed. He had the push to teach her a lesson but that would only satisfy her needs.
"What the fuck are you doing here,mate?"asked Gabrielle feigning surprise and Lucifer scoffed.
Gabrielle had perceived his scent earlier and that was why she walked closer to Kennedy. She thought about it all through the night and she couldn't stay cool knowing that he lived together with a woman. This was her last option, using Kennedy to get to him.
"You must be angry I ruined your moment but guess what am not sorry"Lucifer spat as he walked past her moving towards Kennedy who moved back in fear.
"You know we can't do anything to him. He is Amelia's mate, she wouldn't forgive us"Frediano said to him and he sighed as he glared at Kennedy.
"You are still breathing all because of Amelia though I think she doesn't deserve a scumbag like you but when next I see you with my mate. I might as well cut off your balls"he said huskily making Kennedy gulp down in fears.
Kennedy looked behind him and he could see Gabrielle giving him the 'Do it' look. Without a second thought, he exuded a sleeping pill towards Lucifer and Lucifer fell to the floor.
That was one of Zack, his demon's ability. He could put anyone to sleep no matter how powerful they are.
Gabrielle beamed happily as she walked towards Lucifer. She bent and carefully ran her hands through his hair.
"Am sorry but I just want to be with you."she said and she turned to Kennedy.
"Help me teleport him to my quarters."she said and Kennedy glared at her.
"You know this is abduction,right? You are basically a kidnapper now"Kennedy said as he pulled Lucifer's body closer and Gabrielle chuckled.
"To you, it's kidnapping but to me, am only taking what's mine"Gabrielle said as she also wrapped her hands around Lucifer.
"I have never been to your room before so I will need you to try imagining it in your head or else we might end up in the middle of an ocean"joked Kennedy and Gabrielle rolled her eyes.
"Just say, your demon is weak"she said and Kennedy growled at her.
"Hang on tight"he said and she did smiling.
"Let's go home mate"she said staring at Lucifer's face as she felt a surge of energy taking them away from the borders.
