Amelia hummed the lyrics of a song as she turned off the microwave and brought out her tainted pie. She doesn't know why she felt happy. Maybe because she found her mate or because she just tried out a new recipe.
She placed her pie on the table as she sat down as she prepared to dig in when a she heard a sound. She carefully picked up a frypan and tiptoed out of the kitchen as she held it defensively.
She traced the sound and was quick to raise the frypan up to hit it on the intruder when she got pulled into a muscular chest.
A familiar scent caught her nostrils as heat radiated around her body. She carefully raised her face up to meet a godlike face. Her heart hammered on her chest as her gaze went down to his lips and she gulped down hardly.

Kennedy sneaked into Amelia's house as he traced her scent. He carefully tiptoed towards the direction hoping to scare her a little but he didn't expect his little mate to come out with a frypan.
He muffled a laugh as he watched her walk towards his direction. If it was really an intruder, was she planning on attacking him with a frypan?? That wouldn't even hurt him a bit.
He watched as she raised it up and he was quick to pull her into his arms. A decision he was starting to regret.
Being close to her was tempting to him, her lips were inviting and he could feel her fits pressed against his chest. Fuck! She wasn't wearing any bra.
He felt her gaze move to his lips and he knew what she was thinking. He could already feel the heat radiating around her body and he could smell her arousal.
Without a second thought, he slammed his lips into hers savoring the taste of her lips. Holy fuck, she tasted like strawberries!
Amelia closed her eyes as she deepened the kiss and she moaned unconsciously. He didn't only smell like cinnamon but his lips fucking tasted like cinnamon.
Lips entwined,tongues entangled, hands roaming and clothes coming off was all that followed.
"Stop!" Amelia said breathlessly and Kennedy halted pulling her panties. The only clothing on her was panties while he was just in his boxers.
"You don't want this?"Kennedy asked with a raised eyebrow as he pulled away and Amelia sighed as she picked up his shirt and wore it.
"It's not that I don't want this but I think we are moving too fast. I mean, we just met even if we are mates but this is our second meeting. I don't think it is proper to do this now"said Amelia in a soft tone and Kennedy rolled his eyes.
"Well, werewolves take their mate at first sight. I never expected their females to be this reserved. How many times do we have to meet to do this?"Kennedy asked sarcastically and Amelia sighed.
She could sense that he was getting pissed but she couldn't blame him tho. He was a demon and his desires are ten times more than that of werewolves. If she were to be mated to a werewolf then he wouldn't even stop when she asked him to. He would have forcefully had his way and then apologize later.
"That's not what I meant. I just don't want to make the same mistakes I made in the past"Amelia said as her thoughts wandered off to Nathan.
She had given herself to him on their first meeting. He was her first man but he didn't acknowledge her. To him, she was a bed warmer and straight to her face, he told her he loved another woman yet he fucked her.
She had agreed to be with him even after realizing that his heart belongs to another. She foolishly hoped that if she satisfied him very well on bed then he might choose her instead. But she was wrong.
Till his last moments, he chose Neriah. She had blamed herself for not possessing the qualities Neriah had. She had called herself names for failing to get the heart of her own mate but it couldn't change anything. He didn't love her and he never did.
She wasn't going to make the same mistake again. She wouldn't give her mate her body until she knows that he truly loves her. Until she can fully trust him.
Kennedy stared intently at her and sighed. He was having trouble keeping Zack in check. Left to Zack, she would have become a moaning mess beneath him now but he couldn't. He knew what she meant by 'again'.
She must have remembered her past and he was here to heal her from it. If she isn't ready then so be it. He wouldn't touch her till she is ready.
"Fine, let's have it your way."Kennedy said as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her hair while Amelia's eyes widened in surprise.
"Do you mean...."she trailed off and Kennedy chuckled as he looked into her eyes.
"I won't fuck you till you are ready but that doesn't mean you can escape my touches and fervent kisses. If I don't do those things, my demon might run crazy but I can still hold myself from plunging into you"Kennedy said bluntly and Amelia blushed.
He was so blunt with his words and he showed no shame.
"Am starting to doubt that you lived for over 500yrs. I mean, look at you blushing like a lady in her twenties"Kennedy said and Amelia blushed harder hitting his chest while he laughed loudly.
"You are such a bully"she said pouting as she turned her back on him and he pulled her closer.
She could feel his throbbing dick on her ass and she exhaled sharply trying to pull away but he held her back.
"Stay, I already promised not to do anything to you. I just want you to feel how much I want you. My entire nerves is burning in desire but because I love you I am willing to wait for you"Kennedy said softly and Amelia's heart beat faster.
He loved her. That was the word she always wanted to hear from Nathan but he never said it. She had always hoped that one day he would say it to her but he never did. This man here just said it. She didn't give him her body yet he loved her. Tears trickled down her cheeks unconsciously and she turned to Kennedy who looked shocked to see her crying.
"Did I say something wrong?"he asked as he carefully wiped her tears away and she smiled kissing his fingers.
"Why do you love me? Am not beautiful and I have nothing. I am just a banished princess, I am a rogue. No family, No pack, No connections, I am practically useless to you"Amelia said as she choked on her tears.
"To me, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I don't care if you are a rogue, am ready to give you a pack and a family. To hell with connections, am the only connection you should have and you already got me. I have waited for 170 years for you. I thought I wouldn't have a mate again but I did and am willing to shower you with all the love I was deprived off. You are mine now and forever"Kennedy said as he claimed her lips again and Amelia breathed into the kiss.
So this was the feeling of being loved? Nathan deprived her of this but Kennedy was ready to shower her with it. Was this really her happy ending? Is he really the right and best one for her? This feels too good to be true.
"What about your family? Wouldn't they have problem with me being a wolf?"Amelia asked as they pulled out of the kiss and Kennedy's eyes saddened.
"There's no problem with them. It's just my father anyways but he is cool with it"Kennedy lied but Amelia saw through him.
"I know you are lying"she said and Kennedy sighed in defeat.
"My dad is against mates. He doesn't want a mate for me"he said and Amelia raised her eyebrow questioningly.
"He believes mate renders one weak. He told me to kill my mate when I find her."he explained and Amelia gasped.
That was cruel!
"I was a fool to believe him years ago and I suffered over a century for it. I wouldn't make the same mistake again."said Kennedy and Amelia stared at him with widened eyes.
"Was that why you killed your past mate?"she asked and he nodded negatively.
"Partly,yes but she was an assassin hired to kill me. If I didn't kill her, she would have killed me"he explained and she nodded in understanding.
"So what are we going to do? You know we can't hide it forever"she asked and Kennedy sighed.
He doesn't know if he could tell her about his plan with Gabrielle. She might be mad but it will be worse if she found out on her own.
"He wants me to marry Gabrielle so I made a deal with her for a fake dating" he said and Amelia gasped.
"That can't happen"she said and he held her hands staring deeply into her eyes.
"I know you wouldn't be able to take it but that's the best option for now. I don't want to lose you so trust me my heart belongs to you alone"Kennedy said and Neriah nodded negatively.
"The problem is not with me. She's Lucifer's mate. He wouldn't take it lightly with you if he finds out. He might kill you and I wouldn't be able to stop him" Amelia said and Kennedy's eyes widened.
"Please don't tell me, the guy I helped her kidnap. The one I knocked out is the 5th reincarnation of Lucifer!"Kennedy exclaimed fidgeting and Amelia's eyes widened.
"What? You knocked out Lucifer?? Now, your grave is certain"she said as she bit her fingers nervously.
"I always knew that bitch would lead me into trouble one day"Kennedy cursed as he regretted helping Gabrielle.
"But wait? No matter how powerful you are, you can't knock out Lucifer unless... Frediano! Frediano fucking did it. I guess you are safe for a while"Amelia exclaimed happily.
"Who's Frediano?"Kennedy asked with squinted eyebrow and Amelia chuckled.
"Someone you don't want to meet. You are entangled with their mate so pray you never meet him. He is merciless"said Amelia and Kennedy chuckled as he wrapped his hands around her tightly.
"How did you meet Lucifer?"he asked and she giggled.
"We've being together for two lifetimes. I was with the past Lucifer and I am with him again. He is a brother, a friend and also a jerk"she said laughing and Kennedy bit her earlobe.
"I now feel jealous of him" Kennedy said and she chuckled.
She relaxed in his arms as they kept quiet enjoying the warmth of each other's embrace.
They were each other's home and peace. A peace they hoped who last forever.
