Fiona had grown old, her body turning frail and wrinkled, the body of a beautiful woman now taken by time. Whatever happened that day when she woke up had changed her entire life, this "marking" had started to dim on her body. Fiona believes that her power and longer youth had come from it due to her rapid aging when this dragon marking started to dissipate. "I have lived for over a hundred years," Fiona said. Shade stared at her knowingly. Shade was still only 3M's long and did not weigh much more than 1,000 pounds which is the average for a youth dragon. Shade started licking her face and almost crushed Fiona. Fiona said to Shade "I am too weak to go gather our food now shade, you will have too now." Shade understood fully and went out on her own to get a delicious meal, she knew that she had to impress her master, so she was going for a huge prey. Shade approached a cave, deep breathing coming from the inside, Shade ready to pounce slowly walked into the cave, Shade walked in, and the breathing stopped. She kept walking forward her night vision making it easy to see in the dark then from behind her a giant paw hit her in the back, her scales being the only thing that saved her. The bear was massive, five meters in length and at least 4,000 pounds the bear roared to intimidate Shade, but she was not scared. Shade jumped on the roof and disappeared; Shade had learnt a few new tricks in the 70 years she had been alive. The bear roared in the direction Shade was but now Shade was behind the bear. She sliced at the bear's back cutting it open, the bear roared in pain and fell over on its stomach, Shade bit the bear's nape and ripped at it until its throat came out. The bear stopped breathing and was as still as a rock, the loud roaring stopped like that, nothing but silence. Shade celebrated her kill as she roared in delight, but her win did not last long, her chest started to glow and burn in a light blue. Shade passed out from the pain, she had a dream, she saw Jörmungandr, and they were fighting, she saw this godlike figure turning to nothingness, and she saw Fiona dead on the ground… When Shade awoke, the bear's carcass had already rotted meaning it had been a full day or more since she passed out. Shade had a bad feeling; she dashed out of the cave and took flight. Shade flew at speeds faster than she had ever flown before, she felt different, stronger. In Two days, she had returned home, this journey would usually have taken a week when she was flying as fast as she could before. When her home was in sight her heart dropped, it was destroyed, turned to ash. 70 years she has lived in that home but no, she cannot get distracted now where was Fiona!? Shade landed and dashed to the remains of the house and there she was. Fiona's head was impaled on a stake, her body lying lifeless next to it.
