Hayate's hands remain in his pockets and his eyes were shut, he was now having a blank expression.
The others along with the falcon were still watching from the shore, "(now what is he thinking, idiot, trying to show off or what?)", Shinra frown.
"This is going to take longer than expected, the sun will set any moment from now", Sora look up at the sun which was almost down.
"Hey! Don't you think we should go help him?", Kaguya ask.
"No need, let him get his ass whipped" , Shinra said crossing his arms, "I don't think I can stand that guy, when he learned his lesson he will probably crawl down here and ask for help, he always act as if he's more superior than everybody, and that everybody is a worthless piece of shit, only if he knows he's the only piece of shit, the garbage, a trash", Shinra rant about.
"Can you cut it out already, you are too loud ", Sora closed his ears with his hands and glare at Shinra, he then turn to Kaguya, "we don't have to interfere".
*Huh* "but, I thought we were all in this together? ", she ask.
" Exactly, but on your own you can tell that Shinokaze had always wanted to have that guy to himself just to earn respect, let him have his moment, and besides, i need time to restore myself", Sora answered her.
" Well you are right, but if anything unusual happen I am stepping in, he's of royal blood and it is our duty to protect him ", Kaguya said.
" I get it ", Sora gave a brief answer.
" The only one I can risk my life for is lord Sennin himself, not that cockroach ", Shinra look away.
" (That bastard, I will be coming after you once I finish up with this guy)", *tch* Shinokaze grit his teeth.
Hayate pulled his hand out of his pocket and toss the fan at Shinokaze who effortlessly caught it in the air," you are going to need that Shinokaze, now prove to me you are lord Sennin's son, no holding back ", Hayate said quietly.
*Hm* " who said I was going to hold back? ", Shinokaze scoffed.
" Now then, what are you waiting for? ", Hayate ask.
" (Ok, here I go)", Shinokaze disappear from the spot he stood.
*Ugh* the other genin gasp, Shinokaze slash Hayate from behind with the fan, Hayate crouch and the fan went through the air, Hayate threw a back kick aiming at Shinokaze's chest, Shinokaze crossed his hands in front of him and was sent flying, he made a flip and land on the water, with a blind speed Shinokaze was already next to Hayate.
" He's fast ", Shinra was amazed.
"Has he been holding back all this while?", Kaguya was stunned, "his speed is the same level as Shinra's ".
"No way!", Shinra yelled.
"What were you guys expecting, he's the son of lord Shinji Hoshino himself ", Sora said.
Shinokaze was slashing swiftly yet Hayate was blocking his every attack, Hayate threw a kick, Shinokaze dodge and create a opening to strike, he went for a straight blow, to his surprise Hayate evade his attack, "(dammit)", Shinokaze frown upon realizing that he had create an opening for the kōjin *ha!* Shinokaze threw his fan.
Hayate flip over and the fan sailed past, just like before the fan made a turn and was coming back to the kōjin,"(just as expected, it's coming right back)", Hayate land on the water but instead of standing he fell in and the fan returned to Shinokaze.
" He fell into the water! ", Shinra scream.
" Damn, where is he? ", Shinokaze was looking around.
" He didn't just fall into the water, he's trying to attack from underneath the water ", Sora yelled.
*Ugh* Shinokaze gasp, Hayate grab Shinokaze's legs and dragged him into the water, he wrapped his arms around Shinokaze's neck from behind as they sink down to the bottom of the river.
"(What trick is this guy trying to pull, he must be out of his mind thinking he can drawn me)", Shinokaze was pulling Hayate's hands.
"(How are you going to escape from a situation like this Shinokaze?)", Hayate ask in his mind.
"Why on earth did he pull Shinokaze down into the water?", Kaguya ask
"Don't ask me, how am I supposed to know", Shinra said to the violet haired girl.
"We can't just jump in without knowing what Hayate has in plot for us, we need to come up with a plan... Shinra, can you tell what is happening down there? ", Sora ask.
" My senses don't work under water ok? ", Shinra yelled even when Sora was side by side with him.
" Try to keep it down will you? ", Sora frown at him.
" (I'm starting to run out of air, I have to do something, I have to beat this guy, kōjin or not, I will exceed him)", Shinokaze made some hand signs and closed his eyes.
*Ugh* " (he's planning on escaping my using ninja art)", Hayate said to himself.
" (Ninja arts: water dragon)".
*Huh* " what the? ", Shinra gasp upon seeing the river changing shape, it started spinning rapidly and from it a dragon made from water emerge with Hayate on it's mouth.
The genin were all stunned by the sight of the kōjin being taken off the water by the dragon, on top of the water was Shinokaze.
"It's a water dragon ", Kaguya gasp, the dragon launched Hayate into the sky and attack again.
" (A water dragon technique, water technique belongs to the Taira clan, and only a jōnin level of the Taira clan can create a water dragon, as an Hoshino, Shinokaze can use all four type of elements, but how is he able to create a water dragon with just his reiketsu? He need shinsei for that)", Hayate dodge the water dragon as he was falling down, the water dragon continue with the attack but Hayate was dodging it all.
" That's not all", Shinokaze made a whole different type of hand signs," ninja arts: wind dragon! ".
*Ugh* "(he can use wind too?)", Hayate was stunned as he dodge another attack from the water dragon.
A pile of wind swirl around Shinokaze and formed a wind dragon which was barely visible as it was made from wind, the wind dragon swiftly sail after Hayate as well.
"He can use wind technique? How is that possible?", Shinokaze was taken aback.
Hayate maneuver past the two dragons and land on the water *ugh* Hayate was shock by the swift movement of the dragons as they attacked from both sides, with his eyes still shut, he lift both of his hands and the dragons clashed into him and explode into water and gust of wind create waves on the water.
"He destroyed them with his bare hands, impossible", it was Sora's turn to be taken by surprise.
*Huff Huff Huff Huff* Shinokaze was panting heavily, "(those were my most powerful techniques, yet he turned them into nothing).
" (He seems exhausted, using techniques like that can take a toll on him, most especially at his age, now that he's already at his limit, what could he possibly do)", Hayate thought.
" (What his this feeling)", Shinra was staring at Hayate eyes which were closed," (there's so much power in his eyes, he doesn't need to open them before seeing)".
" (Shinokaze has reached his limit, I can tell his health charts just by looking at him)", Kaguya was kind of worried.
" (Ok, I guess I'm back and running, I will focus my reiketsu on taijutsu alone)", Sora stood from his position on the ground," hey, Shinra, Kaguya ".
*Um* they both turned to him.
"I think those techniques has worn out Shinokaze, we need to back him up", Sora informed.
" I can't walk on water remember? ", Shinra ask annoyed.
" I know, that's why we are going to lure him out of the water ", sora said.
" (Dammit, my body feels like it's going to explode)", *Huff Huff Huff* Shinokaze was panting uncontrollably.
(Flashback)
*Huff Huff Huff Huff tch kahh kahh* Shinokaze was in a field with lots of rocks around, he was panting heavily and almost started coughing out blood, his body was covered in sweat as he was shirtless, a dragon tattoo was wrapped around his body.
Some of the rocks were shattered in pieces and there were lot of holes on the ground with smoke coming out of them.
"One more, this time I have to make it work", Shinokaze place his hands together to make hand signs but stop when someone placed a hand on his shoulder from behind *huh* he look at the person and it was lord Sennin.
"That's enough for today Shinokaze", Shinji said," you need to take a break ".
" I'm fine, I can do this all day long ", Shinokaze look away.
"Yes you can, only if you can use shinsei, using reiketsu alone on the elemental dragon can leads to death if not used wisely", Shinji advice.
" Will you stop talking about me mastering shinsei, I'm not like you or the past Sennin, I can't use shinsei so I will focus everything on my reiketsu ", Shinokaze said plainly.
" Shinsei is not just some energy you learn to manipulate, we are all born with it, all you need to do is learn to harness it ", Shinji then look at the black ink dragon tattoo on his son," one way or the other you will be able to harness your shinsei and let your tattoo gain it true color, maybe your stronger element will be fire just like me".
" No way, it's going to be wind", Shinokaze said.
" Says who? ", Shinji crossed his hands.
" From my observation, your strongest element is fire, Grandpa's was earth, great grandpa's was water, great great gramps was wind and his father was fire, so i will tell you it moves in a circular motion", Shinokaze explained.
*Hmm* " I have not really look into that before ", Shinji place his hand on his chin," nice one ", Shinji then took off his garment, he was having the same dragon tattoo except his was reddish.
"And what are you doing?", Shinokaze cock his head to the side.
"Let have a little sparing, and you better do your best like your life depending on it, as a ninja our lives are always on the line", Shinji was tall and a bit muscular, "giving up is not in the way of a ninja".
(Flashback fadeout)
"(This guy)", *Huff Huff* Shinokaze was staring at Hayate, the elite ninja bent slightly and disappear, in a flash he kicked Shinokaze into the ground creating a pillar of dust.
"Shinokaze!".
"Shinokaze!".
Sora and Kaguya cried out.
"Guys!", Shinra yelled, they look up and saw Shinokaze up in the air, "(he was able to dodge the attack)".
Shinokaze made some hand signs," I'm not going to lose to a fight that easily, ninja arts: aero tempest! ", thick twirling wind hit Hayate and the ground shattered from the impact, Shinra, Sora and Kaguya brace themselves not to lose balance on the ground.
" That was a pretty nice trick you pulled out there", Hayate said from above.
*Ugh* Shinokaze was shock to see Hayate, with his hands crossed to shield himself he was launched to the ground by a kick from the kōjin, the ground cracked when Shinokaze crashed *kahh Huff Huff Huff* Shinokaze was panting heavily.
"Shinokaze!", Sora rush over to him with the others.
"(Dammit)", Shinokaze pulled himself off the ground but stumbled a little.
"Please stay put, you are severely injured from using so much reiketsu and the hits you received.
" I'm... Not... Through yet" *kahh kahh* he cough out some amount of blood.
" Don't push it any further, we will take care of the rest", Sora assured him.
" Shut up... I'm Shinokaze Hoshino, heir to the title of Sennin... I'm not a weakling ", Shinokaze slowly made hand signs, Shinra was just staring at him," ninja arts: earth dragon ".
" Earth? ", Sora gasp in disbelief.
Shinokaze then made another hand signs," ninja arts: fire dragon", the earth shift as an earth dragon emerge, a fire dragon then appeared from thin air and they both attacked Hayate.
The orange colored haired ninja made a flip and the earth dragon ram it head into the ground creating a hole in the ground, the fire dragon tried to bite Hayate but he was fast enough to side step the fire dragon.
"He can use all four elements type of reiketsu? But how? ", Kaguya could not believe her eyes.
"(he is really strong, I can't believe he has been holding back from the start)", Sora glanced at Shinokaze who was panting heavily.
*Hm* Hayate leap of the ground and just then the earth dragon burst out of the ground going after Hayate, he was able to skillfully dodge the earth dragon and land on the ground, he bent backward and the fire dragon soar past.
Hayate pulled out a kunai and tossed it at the earth dragon but it bounced off, the earth dragon then charged at him.
"(It's dense)", Hayate smirk, he pulled his right leg backward and punch the earth dragon and it crumbled to the ground.
*Ah!!!!!!!!* "He destroyed it with a single blow", Shinra scream in amazement.
The fire dragon furiously attack Hayate and Hayate raised his hand, the fire dragon was extinguished in a mare seconds.
"Impossible!", Sora's eyes widen.
"You see, I have a wind type reiketsu, I can manipulate the wind around me without making any hand signs, this is because hand signs helps in creating specific techniques ", Hayate explained.
" But wind makes fire stronger, so how did you dissolve it so easily? ", Kaguya ask.
"It's pretty simple, the fire grow stronger because the wind comes from different direction, that's why I attack with the wind from all direction simultaneously, not one after the the others", Hayate finish his explanation.
*Kahh kahh* Shinokaze cough out blood.
" Shinokaze ", Sora called.
" Are you ok? Lord Shinokaze ", Kaguya was worried.
" (My body... I can't... Dammit...)", Shinokaze was shaking as hell, he then collapsed on the ground.
" Hey, Shinokaze ", Sora shook him but there was no response.
" Turn him on his back " , Kaguya said and Sora did so, she placed her hands on his chest and listen to his heart *ugh* " (his heart is raising)", Kaguya instantly made some hand signs and placed her hands on his chest and closed her eyes, "(come on Kaguya, you need to return his heart rate back to normal before something else happen... Ninja arts: heavily restoration)".
"His he alright?", Sora was having a worried look on.
"(His heart, from the way it's beating, it can explode any moment soon, Kaguya's reiketsu is leaking into him, but is that enough to keep him from dying?)", *tch* Shinra grit his teeth, "(I'm such a loser, there has never been a time were I was able to contribute to a battle other that tracking the enemies, if I can't stand against an opponent like him then my dream is a mare fantasy)", Shinra ball his fist.
Sora's falcon cried and spread out it's winds," calm down, don't attack yet", Sora order the falcon and it obeyed," (we need to finish up with Shinokaze before thinking of what to do, he's just standing there without showing any concern, damn him)", Sora frown at the sight of Hayate.
" (This is all my fault, this won't have happened if I was useful like the others, instead I was cowering in the corner like a coward)", Shinra's hair was covering his face as he gaze down," (focus...)", the beating of Shinra's heart raised," (I have to focus)", his reiketsu then started flowing through him, "(I won't forgive you for what you did)", there were red energy flowing with his blue reiketsu.
*Huh* without opening his eyes Hayate turn his attention to Shinra, "(something his off about him, what's this odd feeling?)".
*Huff!!!!* A thick air exist Shinra's nostril.
"What the? Did I really see that?", Sora ask.
"His breath was completely visible", Kaguya was surprised, Shinra undo the bandage on his right fist and let it fall to the ground *ugh* Kaguya gasp in horror, "(his wound from earlier is completely healed? )", Shinra crunch down and place his hand on top of Kaguya's ," (his... His reiketsu... It's flowing through my hands... And It's ...)" she was out of words.
*Kahh kahh* Shinokaze cough and crack his eyes open.
*Ugh* both Kaguya and Sora gasp, "how did you do that?", Sora ask curiously.
"You are not a member of the Yakushi clan yet you... How is it possible?", Kaguya was beyond amazed.
" I really don't know what I did, not like it matter though, what matter his that Shinokaze is back", Shinra then stood in front of the others and stare right at Hayate.
"(That wasn't just reiketsu... It was reiketsu but it was coated with...)", *hmm* Hayate open his eyes.
