Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Meanwhile, Austin had been ranting since he was thrown out of the bank. His blood was boiling with anger, and he might explode at any moment.

He placed his palm on his face, rubbing the swollen part gently. The more his memory reminded him of the strike of the slap, the more he felt the fresh pain of it.

"Sorry, honey, I will help you with the massage when we get home." Hannah moved closer to him to comfort him.

As soon as the lady was closer to Austin, he sent two striking slaps to her face.

Whoosh! Strike!

Hannah was bewildered. She stared at her crazy boyfriend with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Austin, what have I done wrong?" Hannah's voice trembled, and the tears at the corners of her eyes trailed down her cheeks.

The crazy boyfriend felt fulfilled and began to mock her when he saw the red print of his palm on her face.

"Oh, I'm very sorry. When we get home, I will help you with the massage," he mimicked with a scowl.

"It's better if we both share the same pain," he added, pacing back and forth.

More tears rolled down the lady's cheeks as she wondered why she deserved a slap from her boyfriend for offering him a massage for his swollen face.

"You know this is unfair, Austin." The lady couldn't hold back the tears.

"You think so? Were you blind when that ingrate lady was striking my face with hot slaps all because of your useless ex? Huh?" Austin's rage began to reform as he mentioned Juliana.

The Thomas family was more influential in the city than his family. If not, he would have returned the slap to the woman immediately.

Nevertheless, he knew where to vent his anger. He jumped into his car and drove off. Hannah was still dazed from the slap. All she could do was watch Austin drive away, leaving her behind.

After a while, she left the bank too.

...

Michael was returning home in a good mood. He had always wished to have a lot of money so he could run the business of his dreams. Fortunately, the wealth had finally arrived.

However, immediately after he got home, his mood was ruined. Michael's face frowned as he found all his belongings thrown out of his room.

'What's going on? How did this happen?' he questioned inwardly in confusion.

He ran to his door, trying to open it, but he discovered the padlock had been changed to a bigger one.

He turned away from the door, his eyes already red with anger. "Who would have done this?" he questioned in puzzlement.

Then he heard a voice from a corner reply, "I did it. Is there any problem?" A lady walked out of the corner, crossing her arms behind her.

"Mrs. Lewis, my rent isn't due yet. Why did you throw out my belongings? You didn't even inform me before taking such action." Michael was angered.

Agatha Lewis, a lady in her late 30s, was the caretaker of the property. However, she was known for being selfish and greedy.

"Your payment will expire by the end of the month, so what's the difference?"

"By the way, do I have to get permission from a loser like you before I do whatever pleases my business?" she asked with no emotion in her voice.

Michael was taken aback by how senseless the lady sounded. "It was never agreed that you could make decisions over an apartment without informing the occupant."

"I don't think you should blame me for the decision. Someone else has paid $1,000 per month for the room. Do you expect me to keep someone like you who pays $250?"

This time, Michael recognized the depth of Agatha's callousness. The young man shook his head in surprise and then said calmly, "I have something important I kept in this room. Open the door so I can get it. After that, I will leave."

Agatha's face turned unattractive as she said, "I knew you would try this trick, but it has already failed. I threw all your trash out myself without leaving anything behind."

"What do you mean by that? Do you know where I kept all my things? Allow me to take what belongs to me, and then I will leave. How is that difficult?" Her stubbornness left Michael devastated.

"No way! You're not allowed to go in there anymore! The room belongs to someone else now! Do you want to invade someone else's property?!"

Michael couldn't imagine why this woman had to be so animalistic. Her adamance was getting him pissed off.

Michael had kept a document on the ceiling of the room. The document contained his dream business plan, which had strong potential.

He had placed the document on the ceiling to safeguard it against all odds. No matter the situation, he couldn't let go of the document.

Michael stared at the wicked woman for the last time, but there were no changes on her face.

Right then, Michael remembered he had a system that would allow him to make a wish, and it would be granted in an instant.

Closing his eyes, he whispered, "I wish to appear inside the room."

Ding! He heard the usual sound.
